Let me tell you a story about someone (me) ordering a dish, realizing he doesn't like it... The food was good, but it was just not my taste, so nothing the chef or anybody else screwed up. I ordered something I thought I'd like, but I didn't. I ate, what I didn't completely dislike, mostly the rice, left over the veggies I didn't like, because I was just hungry... during eating the waiter came to ask if we like our food, and I honestly said, that I didn't like it. He looked shocked and asks why, when I realize, that it was probably more meant like, if the food and everything is okay in general. So I let him know that there is nothing wrong with the food itself, but it's me and my taste. He offers to bring me another dish, but since I already ate half of it and figured, it's my own bad, I thanked him but rejected. When I was done, the owner (I guess it's been the owner) came to me and asked me, what I didn't like. I stressed once more, that the food was for sure okay, and it's been because of my taste, not because of their food, and explained which veggies I didn't like and what I was missing, and what was not like I expected. He asked me if I'm still hungry, if he can bring me anything else, which I refuse, since I'm okay with the rice and the veggies I ate (although not liking it...). He says ok and leaves. I go outside for a quick smoke, when I get back, the owner brings me a plate with the stuff I said I was expecting and what I was looking for... I was impressed. Charming and cozy spot with lovely quiet ambiance, and the possibility of eating on the street beside the canal when it’s warm. It seems your servers are stretched too thin, and it’s beginning to show. We were seated at a table that hadn’t yet been cleared from the previous guests. While we didn’t say anything, the frustration with which the glasses and empty bottles were removed made us feel uncomfortable, as though it was our fault they were left there.
