Pineapple Pete Restaurant — Restaurant in Saint Martin

Giving 5 stars even though our server was terrible when we were there on our family vacation in April. This is a MUST stop when you visit the beautiful island of St. Maarten! We were able to speak with the owner Pete, VERY nice man! Our server took our order and never check on us or refilled our drinks.. he didn’t even serve us the food, the bus boy did! The nice bus boy did all of his work so we felt he deserved the tip! The tip is already included on the bill so we asked Pete to take the tip off and give it to the bus boy, which he did for us. My boyfriend ordered the seafood pasta (the amount of seafood in his pasta was outstanding!!! He LOVED it!!!) My shrimp Alfredo was to die for! Large portions too. We definitely took leftovers back to our rental house! We sat near a guy who was playing guitar on the stage. Overall it was a beautiful evening! We walked down to Pineapple Pete Restaurant and Bar to check out the area to see if it was okay for a sit-down meal. Several people came up to us at various times to ask if they could help and to get us seated. Another server came over and took our drink orders and promptly brought water to the table. Eventually another server came over and took our order for the restaurant. Our food arrived accurately and promptly within several minutes of us placing the order. I ordered a hamburger and my spouse ordered the half chicken. Both of our dishes arrived with a good visual appearance as well as the salad included with the meal. The workers routinely came by to check on us to make sure our drinks were okay, filled, and that we didn't need anything. The restrooms were clean and without any offensive smells. Came for dinner with a friend. Place is busy, but we came fairly late (8pm) so we were able to get a table. We had the shrimp stuffed crab for appetizers and it was delicious!

For entree, we shared a lobster. It was awesome! And it wasn't that expensive compared to other restaurants in the area. Apparently, they have monster size lobsters as well, so if u want that, u should ask the waiter. When we asked the guy working at the front how much a lobster would be, he said it was roughly $55.When we sat down, we ordered the lobster with another waiter and then afterwards when we asked for the check, the waiter explained to us that he gave us a regular sized lobster, which was only $40 not the quoted $55 which is for their monster (bigger) lobsters. So yeah, that's how we found out there's different sized lobsters. I definitely recommend coming here...
