Bovin Steak House — Local services in Saint Martin

I cannot tell anyone who is thinking about where they should go for dinner then to go here. From the moment I walked into the door everyone in here was so accommodating so kind and so sweet. My waitress Sanjay truly made my experience beyond what I could ever imagine. I do not eat red meat which a lot of people would say why are you in a steakhouse but when you were offering scallops as a special I am there. She replaced the beef for tuna which oh my God was so freaking amazing, I have saved every bite that I possibly could. I could not fit another ounce of food into my body and I tried. Angel also made the experience very pleasant as well. He came over, checked in with me and made me feel assured that my experience was going to beyond what I had thought. And it was! It was not our first time at Bovin, must have been fifth time we was there this past weekend. The first 3 times we where served by a waiter named Jamal, the last 2 times we where not. And both me and my wife came to a conclusion that without Jamal its not the same! He was honest about the menu we choose to follow his advice and let me tell you, it was great! He was funny, real but very respectfull! And we felt very welcome! Shamefull to hear his contract did not get renewed, to be honest i cant understand how nor why! Because this young Lady that served us the last 2 times, didn't do it for us. The whole experience when down hill. Its safe to say, We Will not be dining at Bovin anymore, you dont get rid of your star-player! Cause when Jamal was working there and we did not get served by him, We was jealous of the people zitting in his area laughing with him! Because the girl, deaded our complete evening! Its not always Just about the food! Ambiance is key! And Jamal was Bovin for us!

The service at this restaurant makes it a must visit if you’re in the area! From beginning to end, the staff at Bovin were phenomenal! they will also bring out a mini coat rack for your coat/bag so you don’t have to worry about taking up space on your seat. The atmosphere was very comfortable and right on the water. I would recommend wearing something more than beachwear as it is a more upscale setting.

Only reason I didn’t give this a 5 star was the food. I ordered the seared sesame tuna and it just didn’t seem to be that flavorful. However I recognize this is a steakhouse so I imagine the steaks were much more flavorful. If you do order the tuna, you don’t need an additional side. They tuna is a good portion and also comes with come carrots and stringed beets. The veggies were tasty! If you do order a side of veggies, you could probably split them with at least one other person.
