Café-Bar-Swingcafé-Jopie — Restaurant in Sluis

I came At Jopies only once...the atmosphere was a happy one..everybody is invited to come in drink something and go to the toilets..most visitors are Flamish.Sluis is situated on the frontier between Belgium and The Netherlands..the Dutch people are very clever in the way they use to attract the Belgian people...I must say I heard French talking..visitors from France or from French Belgium...And the Flamish people feel very welcome in Sluis..Goodwill from both sides.People from both sides of the frontier are related about language .The Dutch part are more related with us Belgians than with the Dutch people from Nord Brabant...At Jopies they serve beers..limonades..cook...and We can get pharmacy specialties wich are not available in any way in Belgium.. not at Jopies .At Jopies the door is literally open for us the Belgian and some French people ...There is a friendly atmosphere...the streets of Sluis are filled with Flamish Sluislovers as if there live more Flamisch people...

A real bar. Not an eatery pretending to be a bar. Good tunes, live football, no screaming kids and friendly staff and customers. Great weekend hours but during the week it closes at 8pm! Where does everyone go for a drink after 8...
