Doppio Espresso Den Haag — Restaurant in The Hague

I have been to Doppio many times and find the coffee excellent and most of the food. The staff are also very pleasant. However, there is a big difference when Peter the manager is present and when he isn't. When Peter is not present, the service is slower and less focused. Today for lunch, there were only two other customers in the restaurant when we were there and yet it took a staff of four 30 mins to bring us our lunches. Both of our lunches did not have the correct ingredients as described on the menu. We have had these dishes before, so we knew the difference. The ladies' lavatory had no toilet paper and the toilet seat was dangerously loose. The coffee is amazing. The choice is friendly to various range of diets or lifestyle. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The waitress checked the ingredients from the delivery boxes for me. I took 1 star off just for some basics - such as checking whether cutlery is clean (sometimes the dishwasher doesn't take off the dried food - in my case) or, eventhough I appreciate generously filled glass with smoothie, it started to pour all around my glass, which resulted in a mess. Great place that we visit regularly for a good coffee and something to eat. The lunch menu isn't very big, but it certainly is big enough and very good for a coffee bar. The coffee is always prepared very well and they even have a monthly change in coffee melanges that you can choose. The tea is also prepared perfectly, with very distinct and tasteful tea melanges.
