Lola Bikes & Coffee — Restaurant in The Hague

I recently took my Pinarello road bike to Lola Workshop due to a mysterious creaking noise while pedaling. Diagnosing such noises can be quite tricky, as their exact source is often unclear. However, I was fortunate to have the help of two highly experienced technicians at Lola. They not only had a comprehensive set of tools but also an impressive level of expertise.

Despite my bike being equipped with a Campagnolo crankset from a decade ago—something increasingly rare these days—they handled it with ease. After conducting a thorough inspection, they pinpointed the issue near the crankset. A replacement of the bottom bracket and crankset ultimately resolved the problem, eliminating the noise completely.

Bike shop / coffee place that usually serves good coffee, tea and hot chocolate. Service is either great or sucks big time, depending on who’s on duty. Today, the spaced out hipsters had no clue. After a long wait our tea finally came. It contained a huge amount of tea leaves and less than half a cup of hot water. The apple pie we ordered turned out to be out of stock, despite the fact we already payed for it. And it wasn’t even busy. We are regular customers, but this was a surreal experience.
