Great food, very neat service in a nice ambiance. Details:
FOOD: Very good food, high quality ingredients very well prepared. They even offer a truffle add to every meal. You can have up to 5 courses, but I would recommend at least a starter+main course to get a dinner portion.
VEGETARIAN OPTIONS: 1/3rd vegetarian starters, only one of 5main courses option Vegetarian(but a really good one). There was one starter that had a meat and a vegetarian option, and my Dutch friend missed that detail and unfortunately the meat option was served. It would be nice to serve the veg option standard now.(or ask). The full menu offer was not vegetarian.
WINE A very extensive wine menu. They also have one of the best alcohol free wines on the menu, not too sweet and tastefull. @La Liguria I hope you can respond with the name of this 0.0 wine:) They also have all the other proper Italian drinks on the menu, including Italian beer/ alcohol free Italian beer.
SERVICE Italian friendly personnel that in the right flexible way adheres to etiquette. Serving via the proper shoulder unless you’re unaware or etiquette & blocking it. They take and bring back your jacket, and let you taste the wine of your choice. The right cutlery with the meals, and reset the table well after each meal.
AMBIANCE The restaurant is in a longer stretched building, so you don’t have too many tables near you. The setup is spacious. The music is not too loud and...
Read moreExtremely poor service! The resturant was quite crowded and ill staffed. Apparently there was some kind of glitch in the kitchen which distracted the staff away from serving. Through-out the meal, nobody came around to ask how the meal was, waited for a bottle of water for over 30 min, pasta was served but no Parmesan cheese topping, no one asked if we needed anything😢😢😢 We were seated in the corner of the patio and literally ignored and had to shout out to get attention. Wanted dessert but had to wait to get attention. They didn’t offer coffee service and we finally got fed up and decided to leave. The quality of the food was not commensurate with the high price. The desert of the day - lemon cake was literally as hard as a hockey puck which we finally sent back. The only saving grace was the nice atmosphere in the back patio on a sunny day! But watch out - avoid the far left table as it got really chilly as the sun went down and unlike the rest of the patio there...
Read moreWe visited this restaurant a few months ago and had a fantastic experience. Last week, during our day trip to The Hague, we decided to return—and it did not disappoint.
This place is a gem! Authentic Italian cuisine, a beautifully designed interior, a great ambiance, and warm, welcoming staff. The food was absolutely fabulous. As a welcome, we were served arancini balls filled with an artichoke cream—it was to die for. The risotto with Taleggio was another winner, rich and full of flavor, with a surprising tweak of Amarena cherries that created a perfect balance between the Taleggio cheese and the creaminess of the risotto.
We also loved the relaxed atmosphere—no rushing, just a leisurely meal to truly savor. This time, we noticed a few new menu items, which we tried, and they were just as outstanding. I highly recommend this restaurant if you're shopping...
