Vegane Glorie — Restaurant in The Hague

Sorry to contrast the glorious reviews here. The place is clean, has a very nice calm atmosphere, the coffee is very good, and the service is great.

In my opinion, the food was sub par. Mushroom pate: The mushroom pate was not pate. It was small chunks of mushrooms that didn't form a smooth paste. It was just roughly chopped. Pate is supposed to be SUPER creamy and should spread on a piece of toast with ease. It didn't look anything like pate and was not intriguing taste wise in my opinion. The bread was came with it was rather dry. The pickles were nice. Polenta fries: The texture was nice and crunchy (as expected for a deep fry) but the taste was so lacking. Polenta fries can be delicious but this was blend. The mayo that came with it was also very blend.

Overall it could be so much more with some extra work on the flavors.

Perhaps it was just the dishes we chose. We chose these because we didn't feel like risking 20+ euros per main dish, which we feel was the right choice in this case. The prices are very high. Vegan food can be healthy, delicious, and affordable, sometimes it feels like we have to compromise on at least one of these when we go to dedicated vegan...

We were visiting the Christmas Market in the Hague and visited Vegane Glorie. The food was very good and tasty! Atmosphere was great and it the restaurant was quiet in the right way (we could understand each other without having to shout over loud music or loud guests). Excellent! The staff was very friendly, and well informed about the dishes. Although the restaurant was not filled to capacity at the time we visited, service was a bit slow, hence the four stars. Nonetheless, I would definetely recommend this place if you are lookin for a nice and cosy vegan...

Love this place! Everytime that my vacation plans and their opening days/hours align… I‘m there. The PITA OSTRA is hands down one of my favorite dishes, vegan or not. Flavorful, just enough spice, so good. I’ve even tried to make it at home.
