Bagels & Beans — Restaurant in Utrecht

A spacious and cosy bagels place in the centre of LeidscheRijn. We come here ofter for a reliable dose of bagels, yummy coffees, and occasional cakes. The portions have improved over the years, which is nice to see given that it was a known drawback for some time. The waiting times are, on average, still a little long, but we are not too bothered by them (for two people's bagles and drinks, we typically wait between 30 and 40 minutes on average). Used to be amazing, the prices have gone ridiculous and the portions shrank.

I used to love going to b&b but I am very put off it it now.

Just for clarity: A bagel with toppings came is around 9 euro plus I added avocado and received, maybe 1/5 of an avocado. They charge about 5 euro for a dirty chai and then extra if you want oat milk (why when this costs similar to cows milk).

I understand inflation has affected prices but it seems like everywhere is just jacking them up to squeeze every cent.

Bad service and waited a long time before we got someone to take our order and got our food. Don’t expect to be served if you don’t actively try to find a server to help you. Waited for a long time.
