Ddadi is one of my absolute favorite cafés in Utrecht. I've only ever visited in the mornings, but my husband and I have tried several dishes, and everything has been consistently delicious. The avocado toast—both the classic and the version with goat cheese—is a standout. I recently had the granola with yogurt, which was fresh and perfectly refreshing on a glistening hot day.
My husband has enjoyed the Classic Kickstart breakfast, which offers a nice variety of morning treats, as well as the blueberry French toast and the pancakes—both indulgent and satisfying.
I'm a sucker for a sweet latte, and I love that they offer a few syrup options—maybe it's an American thing, but I’ve noticed that's not always common in cafés here, so it’s a nice touch.
The lunch and dinner menus both look fantastic, so I definitely need to come back to try more—especially the taarts, which look absolutely divine.
The café itself is adorable, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the service is just as good. Definitely give it a try—you won’t be...
Read moreWe have been coming to Café Ddadi for years! The owner gives you a warm welcome every time you arrive, he gives friendly conversation to every person that walks through his door - did I mention he’s also the person that will take your order, make your drink, cook your food and clear the tables?!
He truly is a one-man show!! Very impressive on all accounts.
The food is always delicious, I personally enjoy that the dishes are slightly different every time you visit - it feels like home cooking.
I have to mention the mouth-watering, utterly scrumptious selection of cakes that is available every day!!! The brownies are heavenly. The lemon cheesecake was divine. The blondies were irresistible. I cannot wait to try the other cakes!
Coffee is always good flavour, highly recommend the latte and iced coffee!
It is pleasant atmosphere, with quiet music in the background, he also provides free wifi so you can work on your laptop over lunch - which is generous in the...
Read moreWe usually get cakes and other sweets here. They are home-made and so delicious. But, tonight, I was curious about their speciality, a Tagine. I had the lamb Tagine. I was not disappointed. It was the most delicious meal I've had in a long time. The couscous came with Valencia almonds and a sweet mix of cooked onions and golden raisins. The lamb was tender, on the bone, with a mix of veggies and olives and a delicious sauce that I mixed with the couscous. I had to stop myself from overeating and saved some for another meal since it was a huge portion. Looking forward to the day we can do outdoor dining on a warm summer evening at the cafe. Thank you, Ddadi, for sharing such a delicious dish with the...
