The door was open, people were drinking coffee in front of the place, everything looked usual inside, and two persons in front of us took their time to order something. Starting with such friendly staff and ending with a delicious apple tart. Highly recommend, small indoor but has some nice outdoor seating (benches for people watching). They are very attentive and the girl who took our order went through the effort to double-check the ingredients of the tart in their book for allergy issues. Big portions. The apple tart was very light, just right apple filling, not too sweet and crunchy base and top. The scones they have look promising too. We'll need to go back to try...

One of the best bakeries in Utrecht. I live in Amstelveen, but I sometimes make the trip to Utrecht not just to enjoy the beautiful town, but also to grab some of their freshly baked bread and enjoy a coffee with a slice of cake. Their chocolate cakes and worteltaarts are amazing, and the coffee is top-notch too! I've also tried the pizzafocaccia and quiche, and they were both delicious.

Just make sure to visit in the morning if you want bread - they sell out pretty fast. Thanks, and I'll be back...
