What an absolutely amazing place to eat, drink and enjoy your evening. Everyone from the chef, to the nice girl & guy waiting on the tables were absolutely kind, genuine and warm with regard to the service. I thought the evening was excellently executed and the dishes were prepared deliciously matching the season of autumn. What I think is particularly noteworthy is how well they catered to my friends allergies, which aren’t easy to deal with. After letting them know in advance I felt like they did their absolute best and it paid off! The meal was so delicious and everything was catered to. They made it such a wonderful evening and I would truly recommend this for an enjoyable classy evening with a warm and chique atmosphere.

Went here for a returning date. During our previous date, we were sitting at the fireplace, and it was Winter, which was a bit more of a romantic atmosphere! This time round, we were sat at a high table at the back, which was also nice and somehow still intimate. The tables at the back are very much squashed together. Not much room In between. Our server was very friendly, it's a bit surprising when you are used to Dutch soberness. Food was great, as always. The cabbage dish was incredible! Only the cheese platter was a little disappointing, but we like the older cheeses in general. This one lacked taste, will try a different dessert next time. Overall it is always a lovely meal at Koenraad.

Ik geef het eigenlijk 3,5 sterren. Mooie zaak met een fijne sfeer. Ik had een tafel voor 1 gereserveerd en had óf buiten een tafel of mocht binnen aan de bar zitten. Gelukkig was er achter nog een hoge tafel vrij waar ik kon plaatsnemen, maar het was niet fijn om te horen dat er eigenlijk geen normale tafel voor mij was. De bedrijfsleider zei overigens wel dat dat normaal wel zou zijn, maar door de reservering met het zomermenu, lukt het niet in het sysyeem. Ik kwam voor het zomermenu. Vooral begon ik met een bubbel en wat oesters. De oesters kwamen met een yuzu vinegrette, welke heerlijk was en heel goed bij de oesters passen. Dezelfde vinegrette heb ik bij het brood gevraagd, dat ging ook erg goed samen. Menu begon met makreel. Deze was goed op smaak, lekker fris en een goed krokantje van de komkommer. Daarna kwam de coeur de boeuf tomaat in eigen jus. Deze smaakte goed, maar ik miste net een tegenhanger voor het rokerige van de jus en tomaat. De miso eidooier proefte ik er niet in terug. De lamsnek bij het hoofd was goed. Je kreeg een mooi stuk welke goed gegaard was. Het dessert viel wat tegen. De combi van wilde perzik, honingklaver was ok. Maar er zat zo veel maanzaad bij en het gerecht leek niet in balans. Dus geen fijne afsluiter van het diner. De bijpassende wijnen waren prima. Geen bijzondere of flamboyante wijnen, maar wel wijnen die prima bij het gerecht pasten. De avond sloot ik af met een negroni. Deze was aan de flinke kant, maar smaakte helemaal goed. Fijne zaak. Qua prijs zou ik de prijs van het zomermenu (4 gangen voor €32,-) normaal vinden. Zou ik terugkomen als ik de normale prijs van €49,- moest betalen, dat weet ik niet.

Wow! What a wonderful place! Service was impeccable, friendly, polite, funny, and refreshing. My son and I came for the first seating, which was a shorter seating, and the server was concerned that we wouldn't have enough time for the chef's tasting menu. I convinced her that we're fast eaters, and don't need lots of time between courses, and the kitchen, once consulted, agreed to give it a go.

The food was terrific. The open kitchen gave me an opportunity to interact with the chefs, which added an extra bonus to the meal. The small, but many dishes of the chef's tasting menu were creative, delicious, complicated, but not pretentious. The dashi mushrooms were SO good that I asked for the recipe, and they gave it to me! I was astounded.

The wine our server suggested was perfect, reasonably priced.

The meal was worth well more than we paid. I will come back here, not for the city (which is pleasant), but for THIS restaurant.

We enjoyed a delightful dinner in a cozy setting, perfect for a romantic date or an intimate meal. The staff was extremely attentive, and it was clear that a high standard of quality is upheld. The menu offered a nice selection, though there could be room for an additional dish or two, especially given the shared dining concept. Portions were on the smaller side. For instance, the flatbread with onion and blue cheese at €14 seemed a bit overpriced, as did the three gyoza dumplings for the same price. Including a side of fries or salad with the €38 steak would be a nice touch. However, these points do not detract from the refined flavors and exceptional quality of the dishes.
