My partner and I were here on a Saturday evening. We were able to get a table at 17h15 without a booking, though was asked we'll need to finish by 18h30. I don't think it's unfair to shorten the amount of time we get on the food, compared with the 2 hours that their website states, but with a session 45 minutes shorter you'd think there would be a slight discount, especially when there are limits on your order? This is an "ordering" type buffet restaurant, with rules that aren't made obvious or hidden from their website or entrance. Orders are made through a link via QR code - make sure you got enough battery on your phone. Each patron may order 5 dishes every 8 minutes, and there's no way to mark what your next order might be until the cool down expires. Patrons are also prompted not to order more food in the last 30 minutes of their stay, though I don't know if they actually lock the ordering link. Portion sizes vary. My partner and I managed to order 30 choices overall, however about 5 to 6 never arrived, mostly sushi - some appear to gave been given to the wrong table. And certainly my partner heard patrons at tables near us complaining about food they never ordered. Food that did arrive got to us promptly, and don't taste bad. However, the price tag for the experience along with missing food simply do not justify a return visit or recommendation, unless money is no object to you and you don't care whether your orders arrive in part or in full. See photos for examples of food, note sushi comes in sets of 1, and maki, sets of 3. Tap water is explicitly not served here. Drinks start from 3,20€. WiFi available, reasonably well decorated, averagely clean. The staff's manner was generally okay, but the missing dishes indicate strong training needs.

Newest hotspot in Utrecht! Entering the restaurant, you'll immediately be in awe with the beautiful interior design. The details are astonishing. The friendly host gave us a little tour through the entire restaurant: there are 4 different dining rooms, all of them carrying their own characteristic vibe. Sitting in the biggest room, you'll feel like you're dining in a luxurious, modern theatre. The quality of the food is amazing, not at all what one would expect from AYCE. You can tell the chefs put a lot of thought behind each dish: many of the dishes surprised us with their unique flavours. Our personal favourites: flamed ribeye foie gras, sashimi, lamb skewers, edamame mojo style!! Definitely our new go-to place for sushi cravings :) 10/10 Above all, their menu is particularly inclusive: all of their meat is halal, and they have a lot of vegetarian dishes (30+). Bummed we forgot to take pictures of the food because we were too occupied being in awe of everything :( Also big shout out to the hosts and hostess!! The most kind-hearted people you'll meet.

We went here on a Sunday evening for an all-you-can-eat experience, and it was definitely worth it! The concept is similar with other ayce restaurants - you can order 5 items per person per round, but you have unlimited rounds! We tried the sushi and other smaller items as well, and they did not disappoint! The ingredients were fresh, and the food overall was very tasty. They have some sweet options as well (you have to try the apple gyozas!) and at the end you can opt for one dessert. They also have some nice cocktails options. The place is spatious, but do not hesitate to make a reservation, especially if you go for dinner in the weekend. It is also very nicely decorated :) You can order the food from your phone which is very convenient, and all the people at the table can order simultaneously, so you can save time! Overall a very nice experience!

Unfortunately, our experience as vegetarians wasn't the best at this restaurant. Firstly, we were given a table for two at quite a strange place, in the corner right next to the entrance of the restaurant. Not the nicest place to eat..

Then we made our orders through the phone. I was given the wrong drink and the avocado, cucumber and sweet potato sushi all came with small unwanted fish eggs attached to what were supposed to be veggie sushi pieces. We already mentioned what we didn't eat in the notes upon reservation, but apparently this was not really looked at, so we had to mention it again.

We were told that the restaurant was very busy and that all sushi was already made. To me, it looked a bit like an excuse as if to justify what happened. Even in these situations, vegetarian dishes should still arrive as vegetarian dishes. But apologies none. To make it even worse, another staff member(the host) came to point out that we had to look at the icons and order the vegetarian dishes(which we obviously did), making it look like we were at fault here. She didn't even ask what happened!

Fortunately, the exchanged sushi had no fish eggs and after one time you would think it wouldn't happen again, but guess what. The exact same thing happend on our second round. We had to mention it again to another staff member. He heard us, nodded, but left the sushi on our table and we never saw him again, leaving us wondering if he even understood that we wanted to exchange the sushi for the second time. Well, after a while we mentioned it to another staff member who took the first away as well.

We waited and because our 2 hours were almost up, we decided to order the dessert. In the end, we never got our second exchanged sushi and it wasn't even communicated to us. Upon paying, asked if we hopefully had eaten enough while charging full price and still no apologies. Well, what a way to leave a bad aftertaste.

For all that has happenend with no discounts offered for the left out sushi, we certainly do not think the experience was worth all the money. We never had any problems with the Mojo in Amsterdam near Central Station. One thing is sure, the Mojo in Utrecht is not a place for us to return to.

If you are vegetarian/vegan or someone who wants a nice experience, I would not recommend going to...

overALL, i enjoyed my dinner...but it was a real mixed experience. there are people in the reviews who said the selection was great. i don't agree...not only did i think it was limited compared to MANY ayce sushi/grill restaurants that i've been to around the NL, but some of the best selections require an additional cost. and the prices are VERY comparable to the OTHER restaurants i already spoke about. it would seem that this place is doing its best to cut corners. according to my server they've just changed the menu from what i saw on the internet...and i noticed at least one selection that now had an extra charge. i arrived a half hour earlier than my reservation time and that was no problem, i was happy to know. and the woman who explained the procedure was VERY helpful AND patient with my lack of tech knowledge...and i actually got the system to work. dishes arrived swiftly and plates were ALso speedily removed... food was good...i DEF recommend the tempura shrimp... the servers were friendly. the place was pretty noisy, though. still...that should be expected in a room full of that many people having meals and drinks. the deciding factor for me, though, was being asked a half hour before my time was up if i'd 'like ice cream'? i DEF got the feeling that i was being rushed. i thought i still had a half hour and the woman who asked me confirmed this...she added that i 'still had time', but...like i said...i felt rushed at that point. so i ordered another round...and the green tea ice cream...which i thought was a waste of space...i was HOping there was black sesame ice cream, but no...paid the bill and left. i was scouting the place for a group of friends and myself in the future. we're to attend a dance event in about a month at the stadsschouwburg. but we'll be eating elsewhere...and it won't be umami, either. one of the main persons there is just plain rude. and my reservation wasn't recorded. that was after they asked me to hold and put the phone down for five minutes. then i had to repeat my information three times...i had a feeling they'd mess up my reservation and i was right about that...no. i'll find somewhere else in Utrecht for us to go...good luck on...
