Restaurant Bombarino — Restaurant in Valkenburg aan de Geul

A cozy and stylish spot in the heart of Valkenburg. We visited Bombarino in the evening — the interior is warm and beautifully decorated, and the heated terrace is a nice touch. The food was presented creatively. We especially enjoyed the seafood paella and the “Meat Heaven” platter. Most dishes were flavorful, though one meat dish arrived slightly cold, which was a bit disappointing given the price.

The staff were generally friendly, though during quieter moments they seemed a bit inattentive — we had to wait to be offered drinks or dessert.

Overall, a great place for a relaxed dinner with a nice ambiance. If you enjoy creative dishes and generous portions, Bombarino is worth a visit. Best to book a table in advance.

We went in a tuesday early may for a bite in Valkenburg and decided on Bombarino when passing. Although the terras is perfectly heated when chilly, the two ladies decided to sit inside. The atmosphere inside is very nice and rustic. Very nicely designed. Since it's asperge season I recommended the asperhe soup. It was well presented, very creamy but the cook used waaaaay too much salt. This was very disappointing.for pur main course we ordered the curry twice and a cheese burger. The meat was perfectly tender for the curry, i did not get to have a bite of the burger. Very dissapointingly... Both again waaaaaaytoo much salt. :(

Because of this I would not recommend to eat but just relax and have a drink here. Hence...

The food on the Club sandwich was oddly distributed (chicken on one side, bacon on the other). I hadn't really noticed it until I was about a quarter into my meal, since it was so well covered in salad and parmesan.

The quality of the individual pieces in the meal were great, but both my fiancée and I believed we were given quite much filling in proportion to the bread. It removed a bit on the overall enjoyment of the meal itself.
