Kippenbar Vesting Grill — Restaurant in Valkenburg aan de Geul

You can get to eat a meal with a decent price (or if you are on a budget).

This restaurant is mainly focused on not just a meat but chicken oriented restaurant. So if you don’t eat chicken or just meat in the general, it’s a no go for you but it’s. Nice place for the meat eaters.

The problem of this restaurant is the waitress. She gave us menu cards and she would come back after 3 minute to if we are done with ordering (obviously we were still busy flipping over our menu cards so NO) and she came back after another 3 minutes. I get that some people knows what to drink right after they have been seated but I wished she could read our body language and wait patiently. This went on for ordering our menu. She forgot to ask our 5th person thinking all the orders are given to her... what it made worse was the waitress added “goed zo” aka “well done” after we said our orders again.. but this made it sounds like we were at the fault when she is the one who was super rushed and missed out 1 order. Not to mention, she made it sounded like everyone wants mayonnaise by saying “you guys all wants mayonnaise” when we only needed just 1. This very rushy waitress didn’t stop herself from rushing since she brought 2 mayonnaise instead of just 1, and she forgot to give one of our order to the kitchen so 1 person from our table had to wait for a while before she finally got her dinner.

This restaurant is definitely fast food restaurant because you need to order the food very fast (incl drinks)😅 I really recommend them to slow it down or read body language as it’s a basic rule of a waiter/waitress to know when they are done with menu cards.

I only felt welcomed by this one many who greeted us upon our arrival of...

Worst service I've ever had ever. DON'T GO HERE.

Unfriendly and rude woman asking us what to eat before we were even had time to read menu. Super unfriendly and stressed out. Told us we have to hurry ordering because they close soon. That miss needs to stop working in hospitality.

The food was cold, unseasoned, dry and I think that most of the ingredients are either canned or prepared days before. 15€ for a old and saggy dry dish.

When we wanted to pay we chose debit card (because we saw our neighbours paying with card as well). When we wanted to pay, they told us "only cash". After we said we want to pay debit she gave us her terminal to insert the card ourselves. When we tried it didn't work. So we end up paying cash. Which is not a problem. But the way you get treated in this "restaurant" is just not worth any penny.

I hope everybody reading this before they made the terrible mistake...

Vorige week zaterdag dacht ik samen met mijn vriendin lekker kip te gaan eten bij vesting grill in Valkenburg aan de Geul. We hadden hoge verwachtingen maar dit viel heel erg tegen. De service die dit restaurant geeft is gewoonweg afschuwelijk, hier zijn geen woorden voor! Toen we het restaurant binnenkwamen en mijn vriendin vroeg of ze ongemarineerde kip hadden i.v.m. glutenallergie was het meteen, Nee dat hebben we niet!!! wij doen niet aan glutenvrij! Vervolgens omdat ik graag kip eet ging mijn vriendin toch nog op de kaart kijken en vroeg hoe het dan met de biefstuk zat. Ja dat kan wel!!! Kwam er weer als uiterst kort af uit. Vervolgens mochten we plaatsnemen maar waar we wilde zitten dat kon niet, dat was voor een grotere groep, wij mochten enkel aan het kleine tafeltje. Uiteindelijk kwamen andere mensen en die mochten dan ineens wel weer met 2 man aan een grotere tafel terwijl er nog genoeg andere overwaren. Bij het bestellen wederom honds onvriendelijk. We kregen het verkeerde drinken, bij het bestellen liet ze ons niet uitpraten en besliste zelf wel wat we erbij wilde hebben, niks was mogelijk en beloftes werden niet nagekomen. Het eten was gewoon slecht. De bief was net een hamburger en helemaal niet doorbakken, peper en zout wat ze erbij zouden doen, vergeet het maar!, groenten was flauw, appelmoes kreeg je een hele pot voor 5 man voor je alleen, EN JA hier betaal je voor. Bij het afrekenen keek de honds chagrijnige vrouw ons ook nog aan alsof we geen fooi wilde geven. Dit restaurant verdiend nog geen dubbeltje! Dit restaurant is absoluut geen aanrader, gewoonweg te duur en slecht om ook maar een euro aan...
