Lunchroom Maya — Restaurant in Zaanstad

So the thing is, looking from outside, i was always curious about this place. So today finally I decided to go with my partner. When we went in it was fine. We got place to sit. Then someone came to take order. Then, first of all it took so long for the food to be served, more than 25 minutes. When the food came, they only brought order of one, instead of two people. I thought it was maybe being ready and waited, but to my surprise it never came 🥶🥶 even after my partner had finished eating, i was still waiting.

When we asked where is my food, first they did not even know what was ordered. When they figures out , pretended that food was served and was looking around other tables to see where the food go.

At the end after 40 minute i decided to not eat here and left. They did have courtesy of customer service and they do nit even try to make it...

The service and atmosphere was alright quite nice but the food... I ordered pasta which did not said it had mushrooms and the picture did not showed it, I have eaten that pasta at some other places and even in Italy the homeland for pasta and it did not had mushrooms so I ordered it and got pasta with mushrooms and I hate mushrooms, I dont remember the name of the pasta but yah, as a tourist im kinda disappointed while everything else was nice and food it self was nice expect the part i had to take out every single mushrooms separately so that was extremely disappointing, im not coming...

Most bizarre and bad meal I’ve ever had. Communications was an issue, but not because I only speak English. It took umpteen tries to order a Caesar Salad - which was clearly on the menu board. Staff had to look up what it was. I received a salad with leaf lettuce, tomatos, chicken, ranch dressing and soft croutons. About as far from a Caesar as you can get. I also ordered a Margherita Pizza - but the crust was limp, there was no tomato sauce (but there were tomato slices) and instead of basil leaves there was some sort of liquid basil sauce dabbed on it.
