Sott'olio appears to be one of the best-kept secrets in the Greater Amsterdam area in terms of pizza & Italian cuisine. Everything was perfect: the cozy atmosphere, the way the attentive staff listened to our requests and recommended the best options, the generous portions and - most importantly - the perfectly balanced taste within every single dish we tried. The mixed starters were a feast of savoury delights; both the pizza & calzone were probably among the best we've ever had. The sautéed mussels were delicious and had that unmistakeable 'Fregene' aftertaste that connoisseurs know so well... Deserts were also great, and so were the grappa & limoncello.

The moment you walk in you are greeted by the most delightful man! The interieur is cute and welcoming. He helped us choose by explaining everything thoroughly, and gave nice suggestions.

The food was amazing, fresh, locally made and the perfect portion sizes. Not only that, but my girlfriend had to take a moment to take in how amazing the home made lime cheesecake was!!
