Sal's Authentic New York Pizza - Remuera — Restaurant in Ōrākei

I love sals! But I have had better experiences. My wife, father in-law and myself dined at Sals Remuera tonight. Pizza was great but the customer service was lacking. We were sitting at a table with plates and cutlery, the waitress brought out the pizza but it wasn't on the pizza stand that we have always had it on. This meant we struggled to fit on the table with our pizza's. We followed up our pizza with ordering a slice of cheesecake each, we were going to take them home to eat but decided to eat them then and there and luckily we did as the waitress forgot to add the sauce! When they eventually got around to serving it the sauce was in single serving plastic containers. About 50ml of sauce for each slice. Waste of packaging. Waste of plastic. I don't want to put down the waitress as she could be new and mistakes are bound to happen. But she said she did not know sauce goes on the cheesecake. She needs to look at her own menu before trying to sell it. Sals Remuera needs to step...

Sal's Remuera supported our school event and I received a few vouchers from school as rewards to spare. I went here after some activities on Sunday night and ordered a few slices to take home. The outstanding touch and taste of the slices made the waiting time seem less. I was watching the rugby game on TV inside while waiting. Would recommend any potential customers to order online if in a rush. One of the staff members gave me extra garlic knots and all food was freshly made. The counter staff explained the menu choices in detail, was very considerate and friendly. When I was holding my pizza, it was warm with pleasant aroma. The most expensive and the worst pizza I've ever had here , seriously the poor kids serving and cooking the pizza need retraining or don't care- we got uncooked mushrooms and capsicum on our pizza which looked like it was chucked on after the pizza was pulled out of the oven , while waiting nearly 40 mins for ours they stuffed up 2 Uber eats orders. This Sals shop in Remuera is too small for dine in. I have eaten at Sals Pukekohe and Mission Bay and they were great with good dine in and food was good as well. They also had parmesan shakers which this store didn't. I'm never going back to Upland Rd...
