Bull's Burgers — Restaurant in Ōtara-Papatoetoe

I might be a little harsh with the review after 1 try and ordering takeout within there first week. I will be back to try something else but for now its a 3.

Why, it took 30 minutes for my order to be ready. First week woes possibly.

I ordered the Cheesy Delight Beef Burger and chips.

The chips were yum. Probably, one of the best within the local area of fish and chip, takeaway shops. Yum!

The burger, yuck. I'm not sure why, but it was wrapped in tinfoil, in a box, and it was a sad looking mushy burger when I opened it up. It wasn't wrapped very long once it was handed to me. Within 2 minutes of leaving the shop I had opened it to eat and it did not look appealing. It was a steamed burger. This is why I have only give 3.

To the owners/chef, please do not wrap it in tinfoil. That is not keeping it warm, it is steaming it into a soft mushy burger. Yuck!

First time trying bulls burger. On paper the place sounded amazing so was very eager to try it. I ordered the heavy hitter and had a try at some of the fries. The burger was overall very fulling packed with lots of meat. The bun was a little stale and dry, would love for them to substitute to a buttery brioche would heighten the texture so much more! Not a big fan of the sausage that was used, it didn't really add anything other then texture. The salami was all placed to one side of the burger which was disappointing as I had to open the burger and rearrange it myself. The lettuce pieces were a bit slimy, some crunchy fresh shredded lettuce would've been allot better!. Fries had a good seasoning, but a few of them were quite soggy and it was eaten as soon as the food was received. Overall not a bad burger, worth the try and with a few improvements could be a great place to come on...

This is at the end of our street and we had been waiting a long time for them to open. We didn't want to turn up on opening night as sometimes things are settling in, so waited a week. Sent my kids down to try their combo (it's cheaper to buy the stuff individually) with 2 burgers. There was a long wait and they they gave my kids a free drink which was nice. They ordered one beef one chicken but were given 2 beef and they didn't ask how spicy we wanted it, and we didn't know we had to specify, but they were SO spicy it was barely edible. I feel like things should hopefully get better as time goes on but it wasn't a great first visit. We may return in a few months when hopefully, things are better.
