. (12/2017) A big size park with multiple playgrounds and leisure centre as part of its setup. Dedicated walkways and cycle routes exist around this park making it a good place for taking a leisure walk / run on a nice clear day or biking around. Well maintained and lot of shadowed places around playgrounds where you may spot small groups enjoying picnics on beautiful sunny days. This park is dog friendly. Nice place to organise sport matches and you can notice sponsor boards at different ends left from recently organised events. The park is surrounded by a little stream and you may spot ducks in it. A little Children playground is at the centre of the park. Seating and benches are provided for taking rest and enjoying the views. There is nice and easy entrance to the park at the end of Arundel Street but for some reason Google Maps takes you through the Vic Butler Street with limited street parking. Ample parking space for the park visitors. Wheelchair parking is available and there is wheelchair accessible entrance. This is the first golf course I play in New Zealand. I'm playing here because at this course I am entitled to reciprocal privileges from my club in Malaysia. I can say this course is easy and not too much challenging. Although playing for the first my score just 4 over. It is probably because I played in really good weather. The entire fairway and green is well maintained even though it has been around for almost a century. The green speed between 8-9 is perfect for recreational games. I'll be back to playing again...

The park is a very good area covering all the sports and spread across a huge space. I would like to suggest that the dog owners to take care of their dogs not to set them free causing inconvenience to the joggers. They should ensure they tie their dogs with the strings and be after them instead the dog freely roaming everywhere. I am also a pet lover but there are some people who are scared of dogs we should also respect their feelings and understand...
