I used to always get my coffee from here but have stopped. The staff are nice but not all. There is this Indian guy who works there and very frankly he is the reason I am put off by going in the roskill store. I went with my friend to order cuppacino. My friend first placed her order and I had a ‘buy one get one free’ loyalty card that we PURCHASED. My friend placed her order and I presented the card to the cashier and said I have one of these can I please use it and order. Only for him to reply back well you have to buy two drinks with this don’t you, you can’t use it on a single purchase and laughed - in a very cynical tone. I couldn’t hold my tongue and I snapped, well thanks I was just about to do the obvious. Placed my order as well, and before I could finish my sentence he asks me something else about my order as if very disinterested in what I am saying. He kept on interrupting as I am ordering and snapping back comments. I mentioned that I do not want cream and he said ok so that will be naked. Like what the hell is that commentary? I had to turn around to my friend to make sure it wasn’t just me hearing his last words.
Definitely will...
Read moreEgg Bennie Breakfast was hot, tasty and eggs were cooked as requested, not too runny so thanks to the Saturday chef, perfection! Pot of Tea was generous and hot! Staff managed the Covid new dining regulations exactly and my vax pass was requested and scanned. The cafe was clean and well maintained. I have worked in many aspects of hospitality for more than 20 years and sorry to report this but it is not the first time I have experienced this at The Coffee Club Mt Roskill, not so much my...
Read moreWow! What can I say? Doesn’t even deserve 1 star. Went for a brunch on Saturday. The coffee club Stoddard road Ordered our meals. I asked for eggs benedict. My daughter ordered the southern fried chicken strips. Husband ordered full breakfast. Went to the counter to place our order. Were told they had no more ciabatta and mushrooms. Funny thing is the New world was next door. They do have ciabatta and mushrooms. So we waited for our order to arrive. My eggs Benedict showed up on toast soggy half cooked bread. Did not look appealing and it was the same price as if it was on ciabatta. Daughters chicken was over cooked and dry! Huge pieces of chicken in a burnt crust. Extremely dry and disappointing. Husbands meal without mushrooms was okay but not filling enough. Won’t be going to coffee club again. Extremely disappointed for such High prices. Not worth the...
