I just went to Bawarchi Indian Restaurant for the their promotion Indian Buffet, and it is the worst restaurant I’ve been to. Note, worst restaurant, not just worst buffet. For the first time, I did not pig out at a buffet. I felt embarrassed to have so much food left on my table. My dining partner my wife and I was in fact trying to find something edible, in the end we gave up and settled for a few scoops of rice. The whole buffet is cold when I asked for the hot food and Front staff a a girl with tattoo on hand is said everyone one is having it what is the problem with you. I was like r u seriously joking ??? She was very mean not supposed to be working at this place and sorry if the owner you should better behave and learn manners.
Almost everything else, especially the meats tasted like it was cooked several days ago, refrigerated and then reheated, or just simply not fresh meats used (detected from the taste and texture). You know the dry texture caused by refrigerating rice? That was how the Pulao and rice was. Deep fried spring rolls which had to be served warm atleast but was cold like it was sitting there from ages, It was as though it was pre-cooked hours before and served without even reheating.
I asked for the naan bread as there is no naan bread on the buffet counter and she said it will take time. But the staff should need to understand the whole point of buffet is ready to go but we waited for 10 minutes for the naan and when I asked again she replied its cooked in Tandoor (oven) and tried to explain me how long is the process of making naan. Seriously, I am Indian and being an Indian you are telling me how long it normally takes to cook a naan bread what 2 minutes..
Selection wise, Bawarchi Indian Restaurant was sorely lacking authentic Indian food.
Buffet doesn’t mean bad quality food, I’ve eaten buffets at many places in around the region, there was no buffet any worst than my Bawarchi Indian Restaurant’s experience...
Read moreWe were a group of 15 people who choose to goto Bawarchi to celebrate my husband’s birthday. Initially we were all asked to squeeze in on 3 tables only and we were not even able to lift our hands to eat. The food was alright but the order in which it was served made many of the guest wait and eventually the food got all cold. The curry was served first, then after a long wait the naans came and when everything was almost finished, the two family packs of biryani were served. We eventually had to order more gravy dishes as the biryani was too dry to eat by itself, costing us more money We spent a total of $494, including $6 for takeaway boxes which took me by surprise and I was also told off for asking for another table, so 4 tables for 15 guest was an unreasonable seating arrangement according to the staff there. Also, when I made the booking, I was clearly told there would be no surcharge, but they charged me the surcharge too which I eventually got reversed after a lot of efforts and arguing. The restaurant apparently did not have spare plates for my guest to have the birthday cake in. So I had to go to the grocery shop next door to get disposable bowls. For the cake, I had to request for a knife atleast 6 times and had to wait for very long after the birthday song to cut the cake. Oh and I forgot to mention that we were told off for talking because there was a child on another table who was crying due to the noise (happy chitchat amongst friends). When I approached the family, I was told that the child was crying because he could not hear a cartoon video on his phone. Our overall experience was extremely poor and we definitely felt unwanted (even after sharing a hugh portion of the cake with the staff and other guest, who willingly accepted and enjoyed). I would not recommend this place, specifically if you’re going in a big group or for a celebration. “PENNY WISE POUND FOOLISH “ behaviour by...

Deepika Mudiliar Posting publicly. Learn more Hi Bawarchi Restaurant Management. I wanted to ring to your notice that you guys have really good reputation for food. Once i was a loyal and regular customer to your restaurant and huge fan of the biryani. But right now I wanted to let you guys know that food i have been served stale biryani with chicken 65 which comes in a special chicken biryani as bit spoiled. I am not allergic to any food or ingredients but when ever i eat from your place i would feel sick and get some kind of allergy on my skin. i have ignored this previously but now i do not want to be quite , as i want other people to know that this kind stale food is being served, which puts your health into risk. Today i ordered special chicken biryani which comes with eggs and chicken 65, complimentary as soon i tasted a little bit of chicken i felt it as bit stale and spoiled dint eat much of it and just ate biryani and with couple of hours i ended up getting allergies on my skin. I really dont want to create big fuss about my food, all i wanted after a long hectic work was a nice meal which i ended up paying $45 only for biryani rice no chicken, as i have never felt good when i eat chicken from your place, and ended up feeling skin. Please be careful of what you guys are serving to your customers as they are many loyal customers to your restaurant, and please keep safety and health issues in mind and don't serve us stale or spoiled food. They are many people like me who really don't want to create a big issues, I guess you guys can be more even careful from now on and increase your quality of food.
