Oct 20,2018 - I went into the store at 3.30 pm paid for a size 22 size chicken. After I paid, I asked the staff if they could keep the chicken in the fridge as I continue to do my shopping next door. When I returned I was given a size 20 with no explanation & the guy serving me - Pravin paid me the difference. I came home & started to cook & upon opening the bag, behold the chicken was stinking & was slimy on touch. I went back back, addressed the issue which initially the staff denied that the chicken went off but on closer inspection agreed with me. They agreed to give me a new chicken & when I raised the question that I should not be paying since I drove 15 minutes to the shop to return the order, they didn't care. The staff told me its their policy to not refund & just shrugged their shoulders.

So think twice before you visit this butcher. My entire family would have had food poison, Thankfully I had the presence of mind to smell & touch the meat & my instinct was...

This store and its owner has a real scammy vibe.

It felt like I was getting hussled by a street vendor in some devoloping country. They pretend to be your best friend then try to up sell you on everything.

I ordered 2 kgs of lamb chops they packed 2.7kgs with extra unneeded trays making the weight heavier.

I went in with a budget of around $70 n got hussled out of $120. I definitely felt ripped off.

There should be no room for this type off business in NZ. If you decide to look after your customers they will return again and again and your business will thrive.

I recommend the butcher across the rd, they are way better.

On the positive side the Lamb Chops n Chicken Nibbles were decent and made a sweet BBQ. Their Peri Peri n Tandoori marinade...

It was first time we(me and my wife) visited this shop and had one of bad experience of our life. Yesterday(23rd Feb 2018) @ around 8:00 pm, we went here to buy lamb chops. As soon we entered, the shop was stinking like anything which human cannot stand and top of that staff behaved in very weird and rude manner. He stopped us entering in the shop by giving excuse that they have moped the floor. Really!!! I think you never do this to your customer. Still we bought the chops from here and after reaching home we realized that meat was gone stale and had foul smell. We regret going to that shop and wont advice any one going there.
