Golden Steamboat offers an extensive menu that's likely to satisfy during your visit. We sampled a variety of dishes and were impressed by both the flavors and the prices.

Many of the main dishes, perfect for sharing, are under $20, with most falling between $20 and $40. The portions are generous for the price, making it an ideal spot for groups to share meals.

The food is well-seasoned, with many dishes offering a spicy kick. My personal favorites were the Sichuan-style spicy chicken (large portions, perfectly cooked, with a crisp coating) and the fried noodles. The spicy and sour soup was also excellent, delivering a sharp flavor I enjoyed, though it may not appeal to everyone.

The food arrived in about 15 minutes, which was reasonable given the busy atmosphere. The staff were friendly and patient.

Self-service water and tea are available, and the bathroom, while clean, is limited to just one. Note that you’ll need to climb a flight of stairs to access the restaurant, so it may not be...

A lovely little gem, well hidden upstairs. My wife and I were there just after 2pm, so it was quiet. We sat by the windows.

My wife ordered spicy fish soup, whilst I had the sweet and sour pork.

The pork dish was the first to arrive, with the fish soup following 5 minutes later. Very good service.

My wife thoroughly enjoyed her fish soup, and although I cannot eat fish (for medical reasons), I tried a bit of the soup, which was deliciously spicy. If you like spicy soup with heaps of flavour, definitely try this.

My sweet and sour pork dish was good - the pork was delicious, and the dish delivered on the sweet side..... but not on the sour side. The sauce was too sweet - it needed either more lemon juice or more vinegar.

Original Review I’ve ordered from golden steamboat multiple times, on the way home from work and a couple of times through Uber, we have also eaten there many times. The buy one get one free offer is an absolute rip off and misleading. Normal meal sizes are generous and fill your plate. Buy one get one free offer was only half the normal...
