I go on Dominion Rd daily and have been eyeing Belly Worship out ever since they were renovating! Finally got the chance to visit them last night as a group of 4.
There’s a bottomless self-serving snack and drinks station right behind the counter at the front, with popcorn, pretzels, corn chips, and fried beans! Super cool.
We got Spinach Taco Bun; Steamed Shrimp/Pork/Chives Dumplings; Vege Salad; Duck Pancake; Beef Curry Pancake; Pork Belly Pancake; Litchi Pork, Chicken Drumsticks; and Sweet Sour Fish.
The way it works is that you order and pay by the counter. Everything else you collect yourself like plates, utensils etc. Everything came out super fast and fresh; our table soon packed to its maximum capacity.
Star was definitely the Pancake, which is amazingly crispy and flaky by itself. You can add toppings to it which is an additional +$8. They provide plastic gloves so your hands don’t get messy too! Biting into that filled Pancake was so satisfyingly packed with flavour — and the portion is huge! The Beef and Duck were bursting with flavour and so tender!
Their signature Litchi Pork inspired by Fujian is clearly popular amongst every table, at only $9.90 you get a generous portion of sweet and sour pork with potatoes and Lychee pieces.
The chicken drumsticks and fish were absolutely banging with flavours too!
Their steamed dumplings weren’t as nice as the fried ones; I would probably recommend fried as it comes on a sizzling pan too!
I didn’t get to try the taco bun but it’s giant for $7 with a giant chunk of meat inside!
Table turnover is incredibly fast, this place has been bustling with people since it’s opening day! It’s affordable, delicious and different than your usual Chinese restaurant whilst still being authentic!
This set us back by $131.80 and we left with full stomachs and happy smiles.

Read moreMy friends and I have been to Belly Worship quite a few times now and they have never disappointed us. Hubby and I used to enjoy their snack selection and thought that was really really fun. Hopefully this comes back in the future!
The interior of the restaurant looks clean and I like that they had a "theme" colour which was orange and other colours which were somewhat neutral.
The service here is spectacular EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. All staff members we have encountered are friendly, kind and so patient (especially with me asking so many questions. I really appreciate you guys!) They are also very efficient, even in the kitchen as food comes out fairly quickly. Thank you to all staff for always making us feel welcome.
As for the food, the best selling points for me are the Vegan options. Mind you, I am not vegan, but one of our close friend is. What's so much more amazing is that I also opted for Vegan food one night we were there because they were just that good! Their dishes are so full of innovative flavours and different textures that it doesn't get boring to me. Their menu is exciting , their portions are substantial and the quality and quantity for the price is superb! Best dishes are the Vegan Lemon Chicken Burrito, Vegan Chicken Popcorn and Lychee Pork (with many extra rice ;P ). Officially part of the "Belly Worship Clean Plates Club"! Lol. We look forward to many more visits and to more innovative dishes from you. Your high ratings are truly...
Read more2023 update had a pork belly wrap for take away-was actually delightful super scrumptious. The soft shell crab was sadly underwhelming and made me a feel a bit yuck. Think I’d have to go again to see consistency but probably not something I’d choose to go unless really craving it!
The staff who served as was super lovely and helpful, bought us tea to keep warm and a scoop of popcorn. This is a really cute place for a late night meal and gathering with friends, but the uniqueness of the meal in my opinion could be found in other places. Ordered the lychee pork with coconut rice. Pork is chewy yet tender with good flavor and the outside is crispy which really earns brownie points from me. However there was an underwhelming proportion of lychee-I only had a measly two pieces-but it was flavorful, very sour. There were also pieces of potato thrown in which tasted like mushy fries. The coconut rice also wasn't as coconut-y as I hoped. There was a slight essence, but it just wasn't enough for me to render it as 'coconut rice'. Overall though, underwhelmed. This was just a fancier sweet and sour pork to be honest, I wasn't blown away, but the proton size for the price...
