VERY VERY AVERAGE Thai food. The waitress was warm and pleasant. Food was miserable. We ordered thw chicken satay, spring rolls, thai fried rice, pad thai and tom yum soup. Chicken satay -1/5 - the chicken was overcooked and tough (not the lovely morsels you'd expect from a satay!) The satay sauce was bland, lacked any flavour and had no salt. Meat did not have the char expected of a satay. Spring rolls 1/5 - came almost burnt on the exterior and was greasy. The filling was of no flavour and minimal. Thai fried rice 1/5 A standard fried rice with meat, eggs and some veggies. was very average and not flavoured with thai flavours. Pad thai 2/5 The rice noodles were nicely cooked. But it was overwhelmingly sweet, it marred any other taste. Tom yum seafood soup -1/5 It is a shame such a beautiful thai dish was a massacre. The flavours were substandard and you couldn't appreciate the lemongrass or galangal. The fish was definitely off!! And the portion size was laughable. Thai restaurants are known for their hospitality but this dint seem to be the case here. Or maybe it was a busy night. Either way, it's overpriced and very average Thai food which I would not recommend Leaves a lot to be desired.

Overall a bad experience and will not be returning. Two of our group didn't get their drinks long after the rest of us did. When we asked how long the drinks were going to be, we were told there was still a long wait because they were busy. One of the other drinks was flat. When we asked for a new one, they said maybe pick a different drink because they would have made the new one from the same bottles, and therefore taste the same... A couple of tables that were seated after us, ordered their food before us. The entrees were just warm. Scollops smelled off so didn't eat them. They took that off the bill, so that was good. The cheesy garlic and truffle ciabatta was just warm. Cheese was hard on top, like it had been previously made and then just reheated. There was a chunk of butter, still cold, in the middle of it. And it had pesto! Which was not mentioned on the menu. We were told about the wait on food but having to wait so long, only for the food to arrive just warm and underwhelming was disappointing.

My words can’t truly do justice to the amazing service we received. The sweet lady who owns the restaurant was incredibly kind and humble. We were a group of 15 who showed up last minute with empty stomachs. Even though they were about to close, they still took our order, served us with a smile, and even checked in to see if we needed anything before closing the kitchen. We were so impressed that we went back the next day for dinner — and it turned out to be the best Thai food experience we’ve ever had. Honestly, it’s the best Thai food I’ve ever eaten!

A bit disappointing for several reasons;

The limited gluten-free options on entree meant that one of our party could only have main, and we believed dessert. This is the first time I’ve encountered a Pad Thai that couldn’t be made gluten-free. I’m not disputing that, I’d far rather the request be unavailable than incorrect but a check on this would be good. Advised that whipped cream had gone runny overnight, asked if we wanted to proceed with or without. This would have also been a good time to answer earlier questions about dessert. We asked the young lady serving us to check that the ice cream dessert was gluten-free, instead we were told after the dessert was delivered and there was no consideration for either taking it back or even an alternate suggessted, a bit awkward for the table.

Other than that I enjoyed the food and setting, am really hoping that we just encountered you...
