First time customer. It's good value for money. Not sure I'd go again though. Time will tell. As far as value for money goes it hits the mark. But I sense this whitty NZ brand seeks more than just that. It'll come down to their corp strategy vs current situation. I ordered a Legend burger on Cheapskake Chewsday. PROS: Great value with the special + tasty end product + staff apologised twice on handover for the 10min delay. CONS: 10min delay + without acknowledgement when waiting + didn't attend to me twice when I went to the counter to enquire whether I had maybe missed my pickup (boys did seem very busy) + staff need some etiquette training or leadership (*). *Firstly, remember that when waiting customers have nothing else to do but wait... especially when unaware whether the wait is to be expected or if they missed their call... they watch the action through the semi-open plan kitchen. And they see you eating whilst prepping. Not the best look. Yes eating is expected. Just do it out of sight away from food prep. Standard/best practice. Secondly, when a customer (a dine-in) comes to you to claim you processed him the incorrect burger, don't second guess it. Just offer him to correct it. It could have been you, or him, does it matter? He'll now leave displeased thinking you did him wrong. Not worth the loss of repeat clientele nor absence of word of mouth. Pretty sure I also caught some mild smack talk on the back of that exchange so also remember open plans means voices carry further.

Re/Burger makes the most AMAZING Burgers! But their Customer Service is definitely lacking ☹ They leave you in a catch 22 situation - You feel that you don’t want to support them, cause they don’t go the extra mile for their Clients but their food is really good!! Hmmm, such a conundrum. So, they get a 4.7 out of 5 stars for Food and a 1 out of 5 stars for service. A word of advice, if you do order food from Re/Burger Tauranga, open your bag and CHECK your orders before you leave the store, cause once you leave, they will not assist you with getting the correct order to you ☹ even though they have 2 different delivery companies they could use!!! For my last order I ordered a Dirty Duke with NO SAUCE (and no bun), so they decided to smother it in aioli sauce (which I hate) and that burger isn't even supposed to have any aioli sauce on it....

After enjoying my last trip to re burger throughly I was quite excited to realise I had a local burger joint that tasted better than burgerfuel. However; unfortunately, after my last visit to re burger I will not be going back. The chips were nicely seasoned and cooked but the burger bun was a soggy doughy mess and made the entire burger inedible leaving the taste of wet dog in my mouth. Never in my life have I been unable to eat the bun of a burger but this was a defining experience on what a bad burger truly is. 1 star provided for the chips edit - I did let you know what was so bad. The burger bun tasted like wet dog. My suspicion is that a 5 day old bun was dipped in water and then microwaved before serving.

First of all, the burgers are on point(Greerton-Tauranga). As a person in their 30s i don't get many food surprises, but this place makes a solid next level burger. Price point comment, looking at the pricing leaves you feeling vulnerable, hoping its worth its weight in gold. After experiencing the food, i no longer care about price, but how i should have ordered more! Doh! The hot chips are amazingly crunchy! I had the Castle and King Ed burgers to share with my wife. I ate mine so fast i consideres offering dishes for a week for her burger remains, but managed to stay strong enough. Not sure ill have the same will power next time!

Order ahead to save a sour taste in line up. Albeit worth the wait in line up if you ask me!!!

Good vibe, clean tidy shop!

My go to place for burgers now.

Update: 7 months on, still my go to place, no drawbacks whatsoever for both walk in and online orders. Still got that exceptional taste leaving a huge grin on your face! Going the distance it seem, in for the long haul!

And few months on again, ive removed drawbacks as it was a once off! Very professional experience!

Some 6 months passed again, exceptional customer service, above...

Very disappointed with my experience with RE burger today.

After a long hiatus, I thought it would be great to revisit some loaded fries from the company. After ordering on their website, I arrived 25 minutes later to discover an empty takeaway shop, with no employees currently front of house. My order was hanging on a ticket from a till machine, had not even been read little less cooked, the the employees unaware completely that any order had been made and already paid for. This can be understandable during peak times and high workloads, but everyone was clearly having a chat out back and not very busy at all.

15 minutes after this, I do receive my order. Arriving home 5 minutes later, I discover the fries to be extremely underwhelming compared to my first experiences of them. Limp, soggy and tasteless, with very odd colouration. I've eaten maybe a quarter of my serving, and don't intend to eat anymore. After being forgotten you'd think more care would be taken with the food?

Very disappointing, and do not intend to recommend RE burger in it's current state. If you want good American style food at a premium price, consider burgerfuel for your...
