Mundell's Cafe — Restaurant in Canterbury

We were totally looking forward to taking our Aunty here...shes lived in Geraldine for many years and had never been. The Japanese "menu" sounded great.. Sadly it was a very disappointing menu, and the food was even worse. Sorry you cant call yourself a "Japanese restaurant " with two or possibly three options of that cuisine. Not even a dressing on the salad...and the burger was tasteless and bland. Auntys pork roast was small and tasty, followed by the one option of dessert, which is why we gave two stars. The lady who served us was lovely, but we were very overcharged due to a "mispricing issue " on their computer, but were refunded after mentioning their price discrepancies. ... Great service, great coffee.

We were staying in Geraldine a few weeks, so went many times- especially because all the staff we dealt with, is so very friendly and welcoming. Only had soy coffees ( many baristas can’t get this right), and once had a delicious health slice. E.M. stands out, she was so easy to talk to and made us feel very welcome each time we arrived.
