Firstly I'm a Pastry Chef and while working in Ireland I undertook my Barista training at Bewleys Cafe in Grafton Street Dublin. I LOVE C4! Brings back all the wonderful coffee culture I learned living overseas. Staff were so polite, friendly and made us feel welcome it feels like it would be a neat place to work, a great time was had by my daughter and I. We visited at about 10am on a Wednesday. Gorgeous apple creme patissiere filled donuts! š It's a shame the Roastery isn't as easily viewable as it was in Litchfield Street. Parking was a sinch literally around the corner on Tuam street. Beautifully set up seating/tablewise and gorgeous outdoor area with cute single tables along the wall with two chairs. Would be lovely to take a good book buy a coffee and pastry and sit by oneself to pass the lunch hour. Restrooms were tidy, there is a disabled carpark onsite, I noticed that the coffee beans are obtained as needed and ground as needed. Very impressed. Coffee temperature was gorgeous, velvety smooth coffee. The only tiny thing, would be that my flat white was a tad on the bitter side, I don't know if water is run through the group head after each coffee order, but all in all, that was a very minor quibble!!....we will most definitely be back, you can count your coffee beans we will be!!! Thanks C4 Team! You're doing an awesome job and we...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe went there on a recommendation to try out the coffee. However we also liked the look of the menu and decided to grab a quick lunch. If we were solely reviewing the coffee then I'm afraid we would not have given this 5*! I know everyone's taste is different so my only comments on my wife's decaffeinated coffee was no smell, bland. I had espresso and the chocolate and nut tones did not complement the bitter taste. But that's just my opinion, I was brought up on Italian coffee like illy or even better, certain Napolitan coffees which are strong but super smooth. And my mother's family own 50+ restaurants in Italy. Now to the food. I have a corned beef sandwich which tasted homemade, on sourdough with pickles etc. Delicious, as were the chips. You need to go and teach a few people how to do it! My wife had the beer battered fish, perfect, as was the salad, as were the chips (again). Great food, would thoroughly recommend a visit to eat there. Update:- Was at the Riverstone Kitchen and had a C4 coffee. Unbelievably, it was really good! Told them to tell you this, find out what they are doing because it was the same coffee beans but it tasted...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhilst c4 may have a good name for coffee their customer service is some of the worst I've experienced. After waiting 20 minutes to be served in the coffee equipment area whilst the waite staff discussed there new years eve plans I then had to ask for service and I was passed from 1 person to another and I don't believe any of them had been trained about any of the products on display. So I ended up buying a portable coffee maker and took it home . When I opened it, it was not what I thought it was, as it was a paper filter system. "No problem I'll return it for a refund ". But oh no once I'd been passed around again "We only do store credit it says this on our web site "(But I bought it in store, (no sign in here lady) but all of those have paper filters (They don't )They went and got a guy from out the back who took my number and would get the boss to ring me (I explained we were leaving town the next day hense store credit would be a was a waste of time). No call from the boss. Went back the next day same B S from different staff don't waste your time and money shopping there they don't deserve it. PS all this over...
