Nifty — Local services in Christchurch

I visited this extraordinary shop a week ago while on holiday in Christchurch. It was a beyond exciting experience for me as I'm always on the search for recycled, high quality pearls of clothing - and this is what I got, and more. The design of this shop is divine- it's colourful ,quirky and unique. The music was artfully chosen to match the whole feel of the shop and what it's up to. The staff were both welcoming and very willing be nothing but service - it felt like I was 'home'. The owner, Rosie, was incredibly knowledgable of everything 'Nifty' and the way she shared how she had sourced her shop's clothing items exhibited an obvious passion and love for what she is up to. I can't wait to return and can only dream of a Tamaki Makaurau/ Auckland equivalent to be opened soon....

I’ve followed Nifty Markets for awhile, and I was thrilled when I saw Rosie had opened her own store. After being left frustrated with TradeMe and Marketplace, I called in with a bunch of items, and she was so kind and attentive. The store is FAB-U-LOUS 💕

This is such a great concept (zero admin) way to rehome some of your old favs, and earn a little bit of money on the side. A far better experience than other ‘consignment boutiques’ I’d tried in the past. Rosie really cares. I’m in the process of clearing out all my clothes, and I’ll definitely be back in store soon with another bunch.

Keep a good record of the clothing that they take from you. I gave them a y2k oakley puffer jacket in great condition that they took intending to sell. yet it never went out into the store. they told me they had "donated" it to charity. After having already sorted through my clothing and deciding what they did and did not want. I don't believe a bar of that as it was a very valuable coat and it is literally ski season. so don't tick the box if you actually want them to sell your clothing. I had a similar experience last time I sold through them but it wasn't particularly valuable so I blew it off. I am very unhappy about this. I hope whichever employee took...
