Jumbo Food Centre — Restaurant in Christchurch

I'd been here a few times and thought it was average food but good value. Hadn't been in a while so read a few Google reviews and decided to get the black bean beef after reading a recent very positive comment. BIG mistake! It was the worst black bean beef dish i've had from anywhere by a country mile. The picture on the wall looked great, unfortunately my meal looked nothing like it. I could only find large chunks of over grown zucchini,some cauliflower and a few small chunks of carrot amongst the thick congealed odd tasting sauce. The amount of beef was good,but sadly i think that's the only nice thing I have to say about my latest Jumbo food center experience. I was very hungry at the time and I'm not a fussy eater,but after picking through the best bits most of the food ended up in the compost. Not sure I'll ever...

Came in for a phone order and after standing at the counter no one came up to me so i went and sat down for nearly 30 mins until i asked where my order was, was told that i needed to tell them about my order when i came in but they were too busy talking and laughing to even notice.. on top of that when it came to payment they got that wrong aswell, came here multiple times before but i'm never coming back here now, chips were pretty awful aswell, learn some customer service and actually do your job...

I often go here and the food were always amazing, I would recommend curry beef, any noodle menu(note: on stir fry noodles it's quite greasy but not as greasy as fried rice), and 70/30 on the fried rice(it's pretty good it's just that it's on the greasy side). I just take greasiness on food seriously and if it outweighs it through taste then it's still 9/10 for me so just for health reasons go easy...
