If you go during the day you may get an ok meal as the staff are better during the day & seem to actually care about the customer, you seem to get decent pieces of chicken during the day the potato & gravy is edible. Then you get night time, the staff are rude & just stand there without saying anything, half the time they mess up a simple order like a 3 piece quarter pack you'll be missing either the chips or the potato & gravy, I've had a couple of times we're my 3 pieces have all been 3 wings or a drum stick & 2 wings which is stupid as the trays in the display are completely full. No matter how busy it is at all times day or night they only seem to have one person at the counter with the other staff just lazily walking around not doing anything or talking off in a corner, then the staff member actually serving always go so slow it should take no time at all without rushing to open a box put the grease paper in, get the chicken from the display, a potato & gravy & roll from under the display & get the drink it's all right there & it seems (I've counted) it takes them about 5 minutes to do that, people a lot just walk out because there sick of waiting. I worked at K.F.C Sydenham when I was 15 & things were very different, the staff we're trained to be polite & to get orders done at a steady pace & the worst one of all if you ever get a drumstick or thigh piece that looks like it has exploded while cooking take it back as they haven't followed the proper cooking procedure which involves squeezing the air bubble out of those to pieces before coating them for cooking, to stop any germs spreading if they explode while cooking. K.F.C Sydenham needs to pull finger & do things up to the standard of other fast food restaurants...
Read more2 stars is being generous I'm sorry so 1 it is. It's a family joke that we simply cannot visit without some part of the order being wrong or missing. My wife recently ordered a Tower Burger to find it had no chicken in it upon getting home. She reluctantly told me for a laugh because i have a habit of providing feedback to restaurants in the hope they might take the opportunity to improve. Now, I never hear back. So either (as my boys joke) they have my rego noted down and see me coming - the repeat complainer, or its just too hard, or they dont care because there's plenty of people who will keep rocking up for sub standard food. I've had fizzy water instead of lemonade. I've had quarter packs missing and my fav coleslaw missing when ive specifically ordered to get it! (prior to the nationwide shortage of dressing). I have had 'twice deep fried' chicken and where the Colonel has forgotten his secret spices as no flavour at all. It is quite normal to have no salt on the chips (team - your chip seasoning is great - use it!). I feel sorry for the staff because I genuinely think some are trying. Some don't engage and need to remember who the customer is. You thank us is the idea folks! Perhaps the training is lacking?? Where you can almost guarantee food quality at McDs anywhere in the world, unfortunately KFC misses the mark. I'm far more inclined to travel the extra distance to another store. Occasionally I try back to see if things have improved but always disappointed. Don't stop trying...
Read moreDo not eat here! Ordered via the drive thru. Drinks were covered all over in liquid from overflow when they filled them. We noticed after we left the window. Nick the store manager advised i should have given them back and told the staff to clean them when I realized this but as they keep the window shut when they give your order i couldn't do this. Burger was made incorrectly. Sauce and lettuce paired together. I asked for extra seasoning on the chips and they caked it on. When I spoke to nick about this he said that's what they do as when people ask for extra seasoning they still complain about not having enough. Even when I removed the caked on seasoning i still couldn't eat as the chip had absorbed a lot of it. They were totally inedible. The wicked wings were also inedible. The coating was stale. I ordered a 2 person meal which included 2 coleslaws and did not receive them. I've never had such an awful experience and from reading other reviews it seems this isn't unusual from this particular restaurant. I put a complaint through the kfc website the day after, I was then called by an assistant manager the following day. When I asked for a refund she told me she would need the food back. Which obviously I didn't have. The manager nick backed up this requirement when I spoke to him 2 days later. He has no power to give me a refund. He needs to get this approved by the head office.
