I placed a phone order tonight, firstly the customer service I received over the phone was unprofessional, the staff member was giggling over the phone talking to their coworkers as I was trying to place my order. I then went into store to pick up my order for them to tell me my phone order hadn’t been placed. They then asked me to pay and I paid and then had to still wait for my order as it hadn’t been put through. I go back to pick up my order and they tell me I had paid for someone else’s order- I understand this happens but this was the third thing! They had to refund me but none of them seemed to know how to do a refund and they were all asking each other! Once they finally figured out how refund me I had to pay again and then wait another 20minutes as my order still had not been put through! I’ve just checked my order and I’ve gotten the wrong fries too. I understand mistakes happened but no one apologised for the mistakes made and I had to wait a total of 40mins for an order that should’ve been just an easy pick up! Food is always...

Paid $26 dollars which surprised me expecting perhaps I was charged a meal. Asked for lettuce wrap rather than bun. When receiving the burger found the charge was simply the burger. Startling but I got what I asked for so not going to argue. Got home to dig in. A few small leaves of lettuce at either side of the patties. Not something I could pick up so ended up eating with a knife and fork. Throughout this monster of a pile all I could taste was very aged avocado and overcooked charred meat. It was dry on the inside and crunchy on the outside. Not how a pattie should be. For what I was charged. And what I received, That was my first and definitely will be my last visit to burger fuel. Very very disappointed in the state of the food for what it costs. I was expecting a gourmet experience for that price and I was...
Read moreDishonest! They had run out of ingredients to make the Sweet As Loaded Fries which we had come all the way from New Brighton to try. We usually go to Ferrymead but when we tried to order from there a notification popped up to say they had run out. No notification from Sydenham. When we got to Sydenham they had actually just used normal Kumara chips (not orange) and dressed them with aioli and Sriracha - no satay sauce or coconut chips and didn't say anything (hoping we wouldnt notice?!) . We decided to dine in so we queried this with them, they admitted that they had run out of the ingredients and all they did was credit us the difference between normal kumara chips and the special. They also gave a coupon for "free" chips but on scanning the qr code on the coupon found you have to buy their current special burger (which finished the next day!) to get the free chips. Also ordered my burger with no tomato and it had tomato pips through it. Won't be back to...
