Royal Roast — Restaurant in Christchurch

Ordered again. A large meal. There is a difference between a large in-store and a large via Uber Eats. It is a medium sized meal you receive. No kumara. No pumpkin. The pork is a small quantity. Royal Roasts reduce the meal size when you buy via Uber Eats compared to going instore to purchase.

It is not ok for the consumer to pay double for the price of home delivery.

The Uber driver was not the Uber driver I was notified of delivering my meal. An unsafe practise from Uber.

Royal Roasts decrease your meal size and do not put in the advertised vegetables when you order via Uber.

The consumer is essentially paying double to get delivery - meal size decrease to cover Royal Roast costs and Uber costs for delivery.

I am not advised if this is an issue with Royal Roast or Uber. I cannot message Uber so hence a Royal Roast issue. My order was delivered 40mins AFTER the store closed. My food is cold. I waited 90mins for the delivery after payment. Uber is blaming Royal Roast. But....how can they be to blame when they shut 40mins after delivery. Uber status stayed on "pick up" for am hour. Cold Roast meals are shit and not worth buying if Uber delivers 3x other meals in the interim. Seriously Uber you delivered 40mins AFTER shop closed. I would complain ALOT to Uber and I would request a delivery fee refund - if I could message UBER.

As for the cold meal delivered - no Kumara. Tiny piece of pumpkin. Potatoes instead. Lack of meat compared to last order a month ago. No extra crackle as requested.

Seriously - Uber delivers cold food 40mins...

To be fair I can't believe I even gave this 1 star. Today we ordered 2 roast sandwiches. And u would think how can it go wrong? Each sandwich consisted of 2 bits of dried stale, unbuttered bread and the smallest amount of Cold roast chicken chopped , chopped again and pressed flat I'm thinking to go the distance. We had asked for gravy, mayo and salt n pepper.... only received a teaspoon of gravy on each, in the middle, no mayo and had to do the salt n pepper ourselves. This dry uncut distasteful object was given to us to consume while both staff members ran back out the back. No1 to complain too. We went back 10 minutes later and still No staff in sight to speak too. Hence this review. How very sad. Won't return for further...

Food was ok. Salad didn't appear fresh and felt like there was a rashin for ingredients in my sandwich. One slice of tomato, two half slices of cucumber, 4 leaves of spinach a small piece of lettuce enough to cover a quarter of one piece of bread. There was confusion when I asked if the ingredients could be spread out across the whole piece of bread. I guess the staff get in trouble for using too many ingredients. The Riccarton Roast Royal is a lot better but this is still ok...
