McDonald's Pukekohe — Restaurant in Franklin

When you go to McDonald's you pretty much know the food will be of a certain standard. This store unfortunately operates on the basis of trying to get as many people served through the drive thru as quick as they can. All good for the consumer except when pre-cooked chips have been sitting in the warmer for far too long, and are then served up to customers. This was my experience as a previously regular Customer, a few weeks back. Cold, dark brown and inedible chips which for the first time ever I took back to the counter, and which I was told would be replaced. Not that simple at Pukekohe McDonald's apparently, and as I was to discover, they don't actually give a toss about you or your basic consumer rights. 25 minutes later and no replacment chips and being ready to leave, I approached the cashier (Chloe) and slightly peeved thanked her for replacing the chips, this said with a slight hint of sarcasm. What I was unprepared for, and what obviously comes free at Pukekohe McDonald's was the sarcastic reply "of thats all right" followed by a smirk. Avoid Pukekohe McDonald's like the plague, they like to think they give good service and value for money, but in reality are only intetested in taking your money while not even fulfilling their basic obligations...

Two Large chips were half filled. Paid for two meals, with burgers missing from the order. Special request to have onions and gerkins removed from two of the burgers totally ignored yet the note was attached to the boxes.

Update: I haven't learned my lesson I guess... COVID lockdown and asked for a McDonald's drop off from family. Large chips again less than half full and not only that, not even fully cooked, could see straight away from the appearance and confirmed with the taste. F'n yuck!

McDonald's are so pedantic about quality for what they expect from others but, don't give a care in the world about the customer and giving them quality food and presentation, people will say but it's fast food, well not really these days with the price you pay for it, fast food used to be good and affordable.

Now it's just to pay top dollar for less and get on your way.

Up the standards and the portion controls, it's the same all the time from any McDonald's establishment, is not just the chips is the missing orders, the lack of care in making it, if that's your job then do it properly. Was the worst customer service I have experienced for sometime. My family including grandchildren were ordering a late lunch around 2pm today and went through the drive in. Our order was large and we saw everything we asked for come up on the screen as we ordered. However after paying we waited for our order at the next check out and was meet by a very unfriendly employee our food was dropped onto the tray which we checked only to see we were short of 1 order of chips. We waited till she opened the window again to say are you waiting for something. Our reply yes please one lot of chips. She then was unbelievable rude and argued with us. Not a good look. After some time another lady came to the window we paid for another serving of chips so all the kids had one each. This will be the last time we visit your establishment my Grandkids will very having KFC next time we visit Pukekohe...
