Worst experience ever. Definitely never coming back. This place don't even have a proper sitting. Owner is very rude and doesn't even know how to talk to customer. That's what a dinner table for 4 people looks like, and owner expects to adjust yourself with thaali, even if there's no space to put thali. Spoiled the mood of whole day. Made a biggest mistake to come for lunch in this restaurant. No hygiene. We moved the table as there were no staff, later a decent girl came and told us nicely that you can't move table sir, so we asked the girl if we can get another table as we are not comfortable, the girl went to ask the owner(guy with worst attitude), and that owner came and even without asking nicely, started shouting on customer saying can't you read on the bottom of walls to not change setting. That guy had no etiquette (zero code of hospitality). Why is every customer-facing the worst attitude of this negative guy. On top of that, these idiots are replying to the reviews saying that every customers are wrong, and they behaved like Dalai Lama.

Beeji Da Dhaba is an absolute gem for anyone craving authentic, tasty food! The dishes are full of flavor, leaving you wanting more. The staff are incredibly lovely, always serving with warm smiles and genuine care. The funky painted wallpapers and vibrant menu are a treat to the eyes, adding a unique charm to the place. They offer a wide variety of dishes, catering to all kinds of taste buds. For those wondering, Beeji Da Dhaba and Dhaba On Highway are the same, so don’t miss out on this delightful spot! A special mention to the guy at checkout – he’s the heart and soul of the restaurant. His humble nature and excellent service make the experience even more enjoyable. However, there’s room for improvement. While it matches the vibe of a traditional dhaba, better sitting arrangements and special attention to washroom hygiene would enhance the overall experience. In summary, the food and service are top-notch, but some developments are needed to make it perfect. Still, a fantastic place for a hearty meal!

Authentic and delicious Between 3 of us, we ordered a few items over the phone as a takeaway meal, because the restaurant was closed during the New Year holiday period. The mixed parantha (परांठा, see photo) was huge and tasty. It was served with authentic Indian style butter (मक्खन) and pickle (अचार). The best part was that it was served in a pizza box, which prevented the food from getting soggy. A great idea! The vada-paav (वडा-पाव) was equally good. The aloo tiki chaat (आलू टिक्की चाट) had the right level of spices - tasty but not hot. The matar-kulchha (मटर कुलछा) had many fillings in addition to matar (peas). The mango lassi and sweet lassi were refreshing. I would happily eat here again!

We made a stop here on the way to our destination during a road trip—one of the few places open at the time (10am on a Sunday). The paratha was alright, just average. I don’t think anyone should be paying nearly $50 for two individual parathas. Nothing about it really wowed us.

What stood out, though, was the owner’s attitude. We decided we’d go to a nearby cafe to get some drinks but he stopped us and was very vocal about how great his food is, talking up every dish and insisting that we were in for an unforgettable experience. We eventually decided to try it, but the raving had no end. A group of us went, and a couple of us decided to go get the coffees from the cafe and bring them back to have with the food and the owner began questioning where we went and insisted we come back and try his paratha (which we were going to anyways lol) It was a bit too much for me. While confidence is one thing, it felt a bit over-the-top, especially considering the food didn’t live up to the hype.

He kept going on about how much he trusts his paratha on the menu, and that we came at a good time because they’re fully booked for the rest of the day (the restaurant was completely empty when we arrived), and that people travel from far and wide to try his food. It seemed like he was more interested in convincing us of his talent than letting the food speak for itself.

Overall, it’s fine if you’re just passing through and options are limited, but I’d say a little humility would go a long way here as well as more reasonable prices.

Please learn to be humble moving forward and if the food is worth praise, let the customer sing that -...

Best Authentic Indian Food In new Zealand - Usually I don't like to review but I couldn't stop myself today seeing such illiterate people at counter. They were stupid in India also and here too. Not even have basic manners, I saw one lady calling lovely wait staff (EH LADKI)..If I were at here place , i would probably kick them out but she didn't said anything to them. I am seeing people reviewing that we haven't done booking but we went there, can't you read there website, facebook page and on google to clearly mentioned please book in advance. If they are not taking customers, they are loosing business, I spoke to owner and he said we take only that much as much as we can maintain high standard quality. As our priority is mainly quality food. Also short staff, so take only limited people. I feel sorry for owners and staff who have been treated badly as they say no to them, which these stupid Indian customers take it as there ego issue. My only suggestion to team, ignore these illiterate people and keep up the good work, they can't utter a word in front of white people, only show there fake attitude in front of own people. Whom they think will listen to them quietly as they are in customer service. They think people in customer service has no self respect and can be treated badly. But they forget it's not there homeland. But anyway best Indian food , and really appreciate giving authentic Indian food in foreign land. Decor also so good, not like other usual Indian restaurants, exactly how dhaba suppose to be. My best...

DO NOT GO WITH THE RATING HERE, READ REVIEWS BEFORE PLANNING YOUR VISIT THERE.

We visited this place on Weekends, you need to book the table and for that I spoke to a person who sounded like owner of only restaurant in the world, he sounded like their restaurant is more busier than Mumbai local train. When we arrived, we were surprised not by the food but the arrogance on the wall. I have seen a not so welcoming restaurant in my life. Wall has written notes like "Didi ko khana jaldi chahiye, bhaiya ko khana fresh chahiye", also "Namak swadanusar and Akad aukad ke anusar". It was somewhat expected after my conversation for booking with the owner. Lady on the counter was sweet and friendly. Now talking about food, It is extremely expensive, and we paid a surcharge of 15% on top of it. You are paying for more than a fine dining restaurant, but the setup is worse than any of your local restaurants. Food was ok but not what we expected.

Overall we were very disappointed and won't recommend this place.

I see the owner is busy writing some good reviews from fake IDs and replying to bad reviews from real customers (If you doubt check timing and broken English used by those IDs). I looked at some more reviews and noticed owner is personally attacking customers using harsh words and allegations for their honest reviews.

I am expecting some good comments from the owner by looking at other reviews where he is going to teach me few things and say you are not welcomed here, but Let me tell you I don't plan to...
