I was looking for a place for lunch and saw this place with 4.6 score it’s one of the main reason I pick this place and that is why I must put something here for other people to see what is.it from my view. This is not an authentic Japanese restaurant so don’t go if you want some real Japanese food. Tampura would have separate sauce, Sashimi was too cold as if it was took out from freeze not long ago The way they cook food..... the portion was super small for a lady like me. I ordered seafood lover it’s $29 as I’m a bit hungry today but I’m still hungry after I ate everything in the plate ....would”r imagine how their other lunch meal would be they are around 15 ish. I’m really disappointed today, it’s not authentic it’s over priced ...I hv not had experience like that for a very long time. I trusted google score but hey who knows how...

Highly not recommend as we ordered a lotus chip,do not feel fresh as it come out just warm but not hot, and some of it are actually burned. We told the stuff and he said because it been dehydrated. But it obviously over cooked! Stuff said pick out whichever pieces you think is over cooked and we cook back the same amount to you. Me and my friend only ate one piece each. Not like that we try to get some more free food from you! And at the time when we were in are not busy at all. You guys could of offer us a fresh and hot and not burn lotus chip! We did paid for it and I told stuff take the rest of the lotus chip away cause it not up to standard and do not feel like put it in my mouth. Personally unsatisfied with the way they sorting out the problem. BTW they will not offer you water until you...

Indulging at the Japanese restaurant Tatsu was an exquisite culinary journey. Each dish presented a symphony of delicate, lovely flavors that danced on the palate. However, the true star of the show was the Wagyu beef – tender, melt-in-your-mouth perfection that elevated the dining experience to new heights. From the savory miso soup to the intricately prepared sushi rolls, every bite was a testament to the chef's mastery of Japanese cuisine. The attention to detail in presentation was matched only by the impeccable taste. Whether you're a connoisseur of Japanese cuisine or simply seeking an unforgettable dining experience, this restaurant is a must-visit. Prepare to be transported to Japan with every...

Even though we’d hate for the place to get so busy we can’t find a seat, it’s probably not good to gatekeep such an authentic (definition: actually operated by Japanese people and no strange fusion pan-Asian dishes) Japanese restaurant. This would be difficult to top, even in Auckland. Granted, we did eat a heck of a lot of food plus two expensive drink options, but for normal meals it’s actually quite cost effective. Do try the sashimi, croquettes and beef steak! Their liqueur tasting is very good, at the price point of a hotel cocktail. Although the location is easy to miss, it’s well worth the trip and takes me right back to my friendly Japanese neighbourhood in Osaka.
