Shamiana — Restaurant in Hamilton

We went to Shamiana te rapa and we had a very bad experience. We ordered Mango Chicken Curry that does not even taste like Mango,very bland. On top of that, My son accidentally spilled his juice, he is just 2 years old. We apologised and asked if we could borrow a mop so we can clean it ourselves, she was grumpy and she told us this" look after your baby well, my floor is white and clean now with juice on the floor it will leave black marks when people come in!" I was very shocked and anmoyed, I did not expect that kind of reaction from her. I told her you have a very bad customer service,kids will always be kids and things like this can hapen. She should not open a restaurant if she does not want her white floor to be dirty. Never ever...

This is not a children friendly restaurant. Owner just lashed out on my son tipping over a juice just because his floor will become musky. We even offered to look after the mess. Very poor customer service. Thinking about food is not great either. Should have looked at the ratings first hand before coming. As real as it is but I can't put any ratings higher, it is just about right. I am not angry just very disappointed. Lesson learn don't be lazy and eat at the nearest resto, which is close to the playgound. You are paying so you deserve to have the best food and service. The food was pathetic, cold and stale, and had very dark food coloring that didn't go away even after washing our hands. We ordered chicken korma and chicken Tikka masala. Korma was absolutely tasteless and Tikka Masala just had very high salt and food colour, no other taste. Rice was cold and hard and naan was soggy. On top of that the lady at the counter was extremely rude and judgemental, we walked in discussing whether we should have dosa or curry and before we could order anything she said you should go to the mall you can have dosa there and then she asked us if we were...
