Shang Hai Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Hamilton

We walked in and it smelled yummy the waiter said we have to wait because the chef was having lunch, was happy to wait in my book a contented chef makes for happy food. We were trying to pick from the menu but the waiter dude was impatient but we where looking forward to our food my daughter ordered pork and rice meal came out I had a couple of bite it’s was yum. Then my soup came out it was tasteless so I added the soya sauce which didn’t improve it I was hungry but I’ve been on the search for a great wonton soup for what seems like a while year now. The wontons were plentiful and plump but the filling was sour so it was going from bad to worse so I walked up to the waiter and asked for some sesame oil it was a total flat out No! Didn’t matter how I asked the answer was No then as I walked back to my table he discussed me with his companions by this time I was just so disappointed and disgusted. No one ever checked in to see if we were enjoying our meals but he watched me as I didn’t eat my soup rather I answered emails on my phone while my daughter finished her food. I went to pay and I told the waiter he was rude he got me to repeat it into his phone so I spoke especially loud. When I have a awesome experience I share it so others can have a similar experience but this time I had to sleep on it before I wrote this review to remove the anger. Worst chinese restaurant i have ever been. Arrived the shop with my group of friends, as i came late, so my friend helped me order first. When i arrived, i helped clear the table, putting the dishes together on the side ready for the staff to clear. I approach to the counter, asking for cutleries, the only waiter told me to wait, and told me there is 1 set cutleries on the table, i answered we have 4 people, i need 3 more set, he repeat again there is a set we can use first, I felt a bit upset, but still remain calm and repeat myself again, there are 4 of us, 1 set is not enough. He walked away without any answer. So i kept standing and wait for like another 5 mins, he came out with some cutleries, walk to our table, i asked could he plz clear the table when he was here, he said i have no time, and told us dont touch the food which left behind from last customers, then he walked away. What a rude server, what kind of customer service was that. I will never return, and I will tell all my friends how bad my Experience was. The owner should watch out...

Firstly we entered the restaurant with this guy who is full of attitude. He told us to wait for 2 minutes as there was no table set. He wiped the table made us sit and said he will get the cover setup. Well nothing turned up. I had to go to the other table and pick it up ourselves. We asked for a menu and he gave us a photo album of all dishes with no pricing. I could see that the other table had menus and we were given photos. I asked for a menu and he said it’s the same. Never mind I went to another table got myself sorted. We ordered wonton soup which came with no spoons . Again the same, no cutlery, but I could see a that people from his same race get better treatment than others. While we were in the middle of our meals we can see a fight between the front staff and kitchen staff wherein he called the police.
