My family and I decided to try this new Thai restaurant since it was closer to home. We order 3 meals to share and an entree. The entree contained a fish cake, which was rubbery and looked like it has just been microwaved. It was also tasteless. However, the biggest disappointed was one of the mains. We order a whole fish. It was not fresh and was rubbery. The taste was not the greatest either. I called the waitress and told her none of us could eat it because it was not fresh at all. Much to my shock when i went to pay the waitress advised me that they would only discount 20% off the fish dish. I asked if she was joking, to which she responded, it is the way it was cooked. However, i told her that i had complained about the freshness not the way it was cooked, even though the taste was not great. Then to top it off they were going to charge us for a non-complimentary rice, which we had not ordered. I paid and advised her that we would never go back, which is there loss because their other 2 mains were not bad. Throughout the meal, we noticed the servers standing at the counter, watching the restaurant, but seeming to ignore our table. We felt invisible and unwelcome. It left us wondering if the issue was that we weren’t spending enough, or if they simply didn’t value us as customers.
Sadly, this experience has put us...
Read moreSorry about the bad picks but we had takeaways. Visiting from Gisborne for the weekend I googled thai restaurants and this place was highly rated. Rocked in off the street for dine in and it was absolutely packed. Greeted by a amazing friendly man and we were told there were no available tables and there wasn't. We thought we'll if it's packed in here and there are people standing around waiting for their takeaway orders as well as uber eats in and out constantly, we thought better see what the fuss was about. Raced back to the motel with our order and we weren't disappointed. Everything was on point and it definitely ticked every box. I'm definitely coming back. The mango sticky rice brought me back to Bangkok. Well done guys outstanding,...
