Stopped to chill over a glass of wine. We didn't have time to do a tasting but were recommended wines by the bar manager. I was happy with mine but my partner in crime not so, she drank her wine and said it wasn't really to her taste. The manager expressed his apologies and offered her another glass of choice but as she was driving she turned the offer down. When we went to settle our bill he didn't charge her, she did offer to pay but he wouldn't hear of it , which we both noted and thought it very good of him. Exceptional. The only place I've eaten in the Bay where I've shared that I have a soy allergy, and chef has said, "have whatever you want - I'll make any of the dishes soy free for you." So often I'm presented with the list of the few items I can have; almost never am I told to order based on what I actually want.
