Ya Bon French Baker — Restaurant in Hawke's Bay

Today bought a ciabatta loaf and an almond croissant. Very very disappointed have purchased both these previously although was a while ago. Today you would have thought both had been made by an Ankar Bakery. There was nothing French recipe about either of them. Bread was not an authentic ciabatta - was sweet tasting crumbly and more cake like. We normally love having pastries and great coffee there and a fresh baguette to take home. However today the salmon sandwich was everything but a salmon sandwich. Pic attached. Butter, lettuce, literally two capers, a drop of crème Fraiche and the tiniest of slivers of smoked salmon. I hope they were having an off day, the danish was a bit dense too. I have visited here twice, on Friday 7 February and the week before. The pastries are quite good but a little soggy for what they are, tried a bit of the almond croissant from Hawthorne on Saturday 22 March when I was with my parents and thought the same thing, they agreed.
