Bella Bambina Ristorante — Restaurant in Hibiscus and Bays

Went to the restaurant because the reviews were good, especially compared to any other Italian restaurant around the North Shore. It's a smaller restaurant but enough seating, sat down, and greeted quickly by the only waitress. I was a little concerned at first because it was a packed out restaurant and one waitress, but she handled it like a pro. In fact, I've never been more impressed by a waitress, so kudo's to that. Then the food, which she didn't even have to write down, but remembered perfectly, came out in good time and was perfect. Steak that I had was perfectly cooked, the shared pizza between my partner and I was perfect and my partner said it was the best Pasta she's ever had. So, based on our experience, on a Tuesday night, it was a perfect dining experience. Will be coming back. I have been here twice and haven't had fantastic experience either time for one reason. The service is great and the interior is nice (ignore the street appeal as there isn't any but its really nice inside). I love the floor to ceiling mural of venice. The one thing that spoiled it all was the sub par food. The chicken parm was soggy with no sauce and the presentation was ignored as it was just sitting in then middle of a boring plate. The dessert was average. The waitress new something was up and asked if everything was okay (again good intuition and great service) but it was a family dinner and didn't want to say anything. The food is so important in a restaurant so I would suggest they invest their time in revamping the menu and sorting out the issues in the kitchen. Until then I will probably find a different...

We will never come back. Literally nothing was good. We vsited 22/5/21 with a table of 4 & were highly disappointed. We honestly didn’t enjoy a single part of the experience. Food was flavourless & not as described by the (overpriced!!) menu. Margherita pizza was flavourless, baked potatoes were clearly boiled/broiled & the lasagne was not beef - questionable meat?? I couldn’t eat it. Our meals arrived over an hour after ordering while we sat and watched many takeaways being fulfilled. One of the orders was wrong after it was confirmed again after ordering. Waitress said it would be 1 minute which is not even possible, so shouldn’t say this. I am not one to complain but there honestly wasn’t a single good thing about our experience....
