Swimming in pepper, oh my gosh. Fish was good, but pre-peppering without any warning is a pain - as someone with an intolerance to it, it meant I had to forgo my chips and dig it out of the batter of my fish. It's not something you'd expect them to do, it was on everything, even the wedges - way too much for even the pepper lovers in our group. Actual fish was good otherwise, both the hoki and snapper. Burgers looked good.

Hot chocolate was terrible, it was warm milk. Drinks were slow in general and pretty average.

Communication with serving staff was bad, but I realise there was a new staff member- potentially there should be more supervision, especially as they were very quiet - there was only one other group. We stopped in to try the new homemade cookies on offer at Ripples as the photos looked amazing! These cookies have really great potential tbh but we had one small critique after trying one. The flavour of the dough is spot on, the cook is perfect with the cookies being soft and gooey on the inside but a slight crunchy on the outside. The fillings are generous and the cookies are aesthetically pleasing. We tried the Biscoff white chocolate one and could really taste the Biscoff. Our critique is on how much salt is sprinkled on top of the cookies.
