Cherry Cafe — Restaurant in Hibiscus and Bays

My daughter and I just adore this gem! Fabulous outlook, service, drinks and food are presented wonderfully well! And super delicious! I would have no hesitation to recommend to my discerning friends and family to go for a drive to Gulf harbour, take in the surroundings and relax and enjoy you refreshments and food at the CHERRY CAFE you will be suitably impressed! Recent visit 21/06/2025, my beautiful daughter and I dropped in for lunch after exploring the now defunct Gulf harbour country club and ruins, quite emotional! However the Cherry cafe with absolutely excellent service and food cheered. the both of us. We always get ROYAL service from the delightful staff, drinks perfect and we always have fish, chips with fresh salad! Super tasty and delicious! The views from outside area and deck are outstanding! This would be my recommendation to take a partner for a inspirational meal, mixed with a bit of romance, if so...

There were 2 tables occupied when we entered and the waitress still took over 20 minutes to take our order ! To top it up, our Hot Chocolate and Flat White was initially served to the wrong table and when they complained their coffees were not right, the waitress picked it up from their table and tried to serve it to us ! When we insisted we do not want coffees picked up from another customers table, the waitress tried to explain the "coffees were not touched" ! The staff definitely need more training in food hygiene ! If my partner did not notice the waitress picking up the coffees from the other table, we would have probably not even known ! There was definitely no Manager and the place seemed to be run by the 3 waitresses.

The Hollandaise Sauce on the Eggs Benedict was out of a packet and the bacon on the Kiwi Breakfast was overcooked and dry.

We will definitely not be visiting this...

The staff were very friendly, accommodating, and efficient.

I initially couldn't find them, because the entrance seems to be that of apartments and villas, but they are underneath the apartments, and out back, so not visible from the roadside.

They don't have a big cabinet food selection, and about 4 cake options. The food leaving the kitchen looked good, although I didn't order anything myself.

They have seating inside, on the patio, and outside. It looks over a private marina. I just wanted to dive into the beautiful clean water. The view is lovely, and I can see people having a nice chat out there.
