Burger King Highland Park — Restaurant in Howick

This restaurant must be the worst location across all Burger King sites. On entrance the floors had puddles on them, no signs out, exceedingly slippery. The slope down into the toilets' from the entrance door causes you to slide along the floor uncontrollability.

I ordered at the kiosk, dine in, which resulted in your staff packing it into take out bag. I requested a tray when collecting my order - 4 times the staff member did not understand what a tray was, even when pointing at one above the take out bags. She then placed the hot order on the cold shelf to wait while she got a supervisor. This supervisor then ask me three times what the problem was, I responded that I would like a tray for my dine-in order. Eventually this was understood and the now cold meal plonked in the middle of the tray.

The Hawaiian burger was not cut as advertised, there was no ketchup included in the meal or offered. Ad the disgusting state of the restaurant tables - dirty with sauce, graffiti, broken and with chairs missing padding - I wonder how this restaurant passes any kind of inspection.

I suspect nothing will come of the comments I have to make considering the generic responses afforded any negative reviews.

15/04/24: no response other than the generic “copy and paste” of all reviews and a generic email about “getting in touch once they review things” - guess that sums up Burger Kings care for customer service, safety...

Only came to this BK because our usual BK's could not do milkshakes. Would definitely not be doing that again. 1st, I used the self service check out, did my order and couldn't proceed to checkout as it got stuck. 2nd Had to get lady behind counter do it. She took a while and looked like she didn't know what she was doing. 3rd She did our milkshake pretty much straight away. 4th waited 20 min for our food. 5th milkshake was melted by the time we got our food. 6th burgers where cold by the time we got them because we where waiting for our chips. 7th the place is filthy. Did not want to complain and get our shakes redone because there where 5 other customers waiting for their orders, And that would have just caused everyone else to have more issues. Have a feeling the 4 and 5 stars come from customers who went through...

This franchise is an embarrassment to Burger King. Appears as if it rarely gets any sort of cleaning other than rubbish removal (on a good day) . Toilets are disgusting - mentioned to manager the bad state they were in, they apologized and told me they would get it sorted. Returned the next day to be told toilets had been thoroughly cleaned ... they were worse than the day before ! Staff are rude and its a surprise you even receive the correct burger with the lack of attention they pay. Had to repeat our order more than three times explaining very clearly and carefully and they still couldnt get it correct . or so much as mention or ask what drinks were wanted with combos. no apology & no manners, dont even greet you or say "have a nice day" ,"enjoy your meal"...
