I had the worst ramen in my life 😔 this place use to be Tanpopo and I love it , I came back and realise it has rebrand or changed owner but that's okay as long as i get nice ramen for lunch. I sat down and wait, no one came to take my order. the shop is not busy, bt all three waiter chatting in the open kitchen. I walked over to counter to order aTokyo Sesame Ramen. It looked really nice bt As soon as I tried the soup. This is the saltiest thing I've ever had . I thought maybe it be better with the ramen. Still super salty . I usually eat pretty salty things , but this is unbearable. I asked the waiter to get me some plain soup so I can dilute it .I pour the whole bole in the soup, and taste , itis still super salty .I ate abit and realise I can't stand any more . I asked for another bowl of plain soup then I dip the noodles in the soup so I can finished it . After that I drank a whole bottle of water so the saltiness can go away. I dunno if this is just one off incident or other ramen in the menu might taste better. But my advise is don't ever orderthe sesame ramen. I felt I'm Gona get kidney failure drinking the soup. When I was about to leave and to pay I told the waiter about how salty it is. And he said sorry. There's nth to sorry about ,tell the chef to taste before bringing out the food ! I have had may ramens in my life and this is the worst I have had . Till now I still felt the saltiness in my mouth. Save your money and your...
Read moreI've lived in Japan for two years and my wife is Japanese. This place is a massive disappointment and you should save your money. Customer service was non existent, the guy hardly said a word and had his baseball cap covering his eyes and looked at the ground. No smile, no hello, no thank you, nothing. He just dumped everything at our table and walked away. The furniture is damaged and has seen better days. Even the plants have died in this place, just like your happiness will. Also the food was bland, we had Tanpopo Ramen and I think my shoe has more flavour. My wife actually added soy sauce and it was better than what they served up. Really don't go here, they're not even serving alcohol as the manager has left, so we asked for coke and lemonade. What we got was a can of coke and a sprite, no glasses either. I love Japanese food and customer service, this is the first time I've been disappointed, try Masa or Soi restaurant, so much better. Maybe this place was good once, maybe? that's the only way I could understand the high reviews. Try somewhere else, otherwise you'll wish you...
Read morei came in 2019 and the shop was abit dull and looking rundown inside, the food was okay - v different tasting from the tanpopo in cbd downtown however, i went last weekend knowing they had a new menu and it was miles better. the place still looks the same rundownish tho. we had tonkutsu soup noodles, spicy ones and a karaage don. all p good and satisfying. spice was p good too can tell they used fresh chillies. karaage was fried really well. its probably not the best place for a big table of people as the seating arrangements are abit strange and their chairs are different heights etc. I know this sounds picky but it contributes to part of a dine in experience. They've got the food down and refurbed their menus so thats A+ now they just need to spruce up the place, make it more...
