We came by tonight at 10pm to grab a quick bite for desert and a drink. There was maybe 3 people in the line in front of us and it took nearly 30 minutes to get to even order. By the time we had ordered it was 10:30. The gentlemen behind us had been waiting as long as us, and upon getting to order (being the last person in the line) was told the drive through was closed even though the restaurant didn't close for 30 more minutes. When we finally got to the window to get our food I told the staff that it was only right that they take the other guys order or that someone should have told him we were the last customer. The staff member ignored me and shoved the eftpos machine at me before walking away and laughing with the other staff member. He also told me how happy he was to be finished for the day and laughed once I mentioned the guy behind me. Once we finally got our order (literally two drinks by this point) I asked again if they could please take the guys order behind us as having spoken to him he just wanted two meals for him and his partner. (I went to speak to him upon hearing hor rude the staff member was to him while we waited for our two drinks to be made...)
The staff member was extremely rude and very dismissive. I understand it's not the most glamorous job, and covid may have made it harder being shorter staff, but to take literally one more order and just have a little respect would have been easy and gone a long way. Not to mention my drink was obviously out of syrup but I never got a chance to say anything as once we received our two drinks the staff locked the drive through window and walked away, once again laughing and swearing with the other staff inside.
Had I known the staff would be so horrible we would have ordered for the gentleman behind us but I hate to think what kind of quality the food would have been given the attitude of the staff. The guy may have...
Read moreI though it was myth a fantasy story when people sharing their stories of drive through and missing food of what they ordered. I genuinely though was just invented. Well I was wrong, never use drive through but my family insisted cause back from an event and late we were literally hungry. Nobody in front of me when I ordered through the outside speaker, lady repeated the order and couldn't get it right! I needed to repeat my self three times. When I get to the pick up window I can see 2 people were waiting inside the store seems not busy at all. She asked me to pay and gave me the eftpos machine before handling the food. I paid while she left me with the machine for 5 minutes cause possibly got busy. She handle the bag I said thank you and didn't check my order because I can see 3 car's behind me, so didn't want to hold others as a form of respect. Then while driving I asked to my family to check if everything is there,..........a burger was missing. A total of 3 items that's all I ordered was not a big order! I needed to drive back and go inside. The other lady at the counter apologize but seems there's no system and I know the lady who handles the drive through order was the one picking up the items and put into the bag. She's not checking at all. Meal also was horrible and we choose Carl's Jr instead of MacDonald because I believe it's better........I was wrong. No excuse to miss one item from a total of 3 items ordered. No trained at all I can see that. Shortage of Staff can't be an excuse either, if you can't function you must close as many other businesses are doing now. So still wants to make profit at Customers expense giving bad food and less items. Shame...
Read moreMy family dined at this restaurant last night. First time I visited Pakuranga store. I love Carl's Jr food! The girl serving us wasn't particularly friendly or good with customer service and messed up our order somewhat. I was charged extra for criss-cut fries, which I wasn't told about until I queried when I saw my receipt. My father ordered a chocolate milkshake and criss-cut fries and received a strawberry milkshake and regular fries. My father got a replacement shake, but not the fries he had originally ordered. I think they had forgotten to replace them for my father, but I was asked by Fatima (Shift Leader) how my low-carb burger was and it was delicious. I mentioned to her about the mess up with our order and that the staff need to work on their communication skills. Fatima handled the situation very well and made things right by offering us the criss-cut fries as we were leaving the store. She had the smile and customer service I would expect from a store like this. She saved me from writing a very bad review on this store, which is what I was going to do last night. I'm looking forward to returning to this store...
