Crystal's Seafood Boil Limited — Restaurant in Howick

Crystal was a lovely woman, and I was so looking forward to my Birthday (Christmas Eve) Seafood Boil, I was sooo excited I could hardly wait to get home,, it looked and smelt Devine!!but alas on first bites it was so so HOT, I'm thinkn chilli ?my mouth was on 🔥, ,I don't even eat mild pepper 😲 so I instantly didn't like at all!!and the hot sauce had gone through everything 😭😔, even my daughter who likes spice said it was too much.., but yes, I'm sorry I have to say, that ruined my Birthday Buzz, and the kaka I love in head was grey not the usual orange, and gritty, and tasted off to me, (it was the main reason I wanted one, besides the tail, 😔 it was not pleasant at all, I really wanted to give a wonderful review, but I'm afraid I was VERY Disappointed 😞☹️..I thought I'd love the Butter sauce, but it was drenched in something HOT. which ment I could hardly eat it..I would not recommend, especially for people who don't like spice and hot things... Out of 10, for food, I would give...

Sauce was beautiful and the kaimoana was fresh but unfortunately the actual boil was cold when we got it (we came right on time to collect). We came up from Hamilton to try it, so we ate it straight away in the car, and had no where to heat it up further. The cray was a little disappointing too. The sauce though was the saviour of the dish! Especially because it was really hot it made the food you dipped in warmer. Customer service experience was lovely too. Overall it was a good experience but I am a bit sad for the amount we paid that...

Can not recommend Crystal's Seafood Boil enough. The most delicious boil I have ever had. I travel 1.5 hours for this and wouldn't go anywhere else. Crystal's Seafood Boil is always cooked perfectly and the butter sauce complements everything in the boil so well.

Crystal and her whānau deliver top notch service and you are always greeted with a beautiful smile and the best chats. They smash these boils every single time and they are always made with love.
