Gymkhana Banquet & Function — Restaurant in Howick

Second visit: been 6 months and we attended another function here last night

We were Initially served Luke warm chicken in the starters (1st batch) 2nd batch was hot, nothing was great Fried fish was so orange it looked like it had radiation, the Manchurian was like eating glue flour balls, rest of the starters left nothing to desire.

Mains: horrible tasteless dishes, I tried everything except the goat

Under seasoned, no flavour and full of food colouring. Pretty hard to get a dhal wrong… even that was terrible.

1st visit:

Food was ok, nothing to sing home about, the Manchurian looked like rasgulla syrup, not sure what that was all about and the fish was very over battered

Mains only lamb and naans were tasty, the other dishes...

Curries were delicious and ordering online was very easy but the delivery service was disappointing unfortunately. Ordered at 6:20pm and estimated delivery time provided was 6:18pm. An hour later, rang up and was told our food’s been waiting for 20mins, they seemingly hadn’t realised our order was for delivery. I came here last week, when ordering food I was told by the waitress to write my own order down???!!! The staff should be able to know the menu if they are being hired without the customers having to write down their own order and hand it to the waitress. She was also was not very friendly. First time coming here and I did not enjoy the customer...
